Tanya’s home from home childcare
Welcome everyone to my page. I am fully registered with Ofsted as a childminder. I am here for you.
As we near the end of summer and get ready to go back to school. I have said good bye to Kim Rosa who worked her last day today. She has been an absolute asset to me and the children and will be missed and we wish you all the best in your new adventure. Also said good bye to a few of my children who are moving on to school and I wish them all the best and it’s been a pleasure to have had you all in my care and watch you grow and develop. I am looking forward to welcoming my new children starting next week and excited to see what the future holds. I would like to thank everyone who made me a card and brought me a little something I feel so lucky and it means everything. ❤️ 💙

Another fantastic week with the children. We made a rocket 🚀 lots of the children traveled to the moon 🌑 lots of water play in the heat to cool us all down and plenty of ice lolly’s. Kim came up with a great idea to make glitter decorations for the children to hang up in their rooms. We put together our mud kitchen and kept cool in the shade playing with fidget toys and water books and much more. ☀️
Children have enjoyed a fun week at our weekly groups, face painting, watering our tomatoes plants and watching them grow. Talking about our emotions and drawing the weather, writing our names and much more. Hope the sun is shining next week for us. ☀️
Another good week with the children. We worked on our dinosaur project the kids did brilliantly. We also had the lovely Nicole join us for the week on her placement and the children loved it. 🦖

What a great week. It’s gone so fast! We happy to see the weather improving the kiddies love being outside in the garden playing, in the sand pit, water play, painting, going to the park, having picnics. We did hair braids on some of the children this week that they absolutely loved having them done. We planted some tomatoes plants and loved playing with the bubbles. 🫧 🍅 🪴 ☀️

We had a another great week with the children. They loved the stamping and dinosaur foot prints in the paint. Working in our hair salon using our cutting skills. Threading pasta to make some necklaces to show off around their necks. Let’s see what this week brings us. Hopefully some sunshine ☀️
This morning we went on a bug hunt in search for a caterpillar 🐛 the children really enjoyed lifting up the leaves seeing all the different sizes, shapes and colours. Finding insects we have not seen before and watching how they move, counting their legs and identifying what colours they had.
Great start to the week with our monthly visit to the residential home. Seeing the joy the children bring is amazing. We took pictures that we made over the month and enjoyed some singing, dancing and ball games.
Been looking at insects and bugs today. Kids loved all the creepy crawlers 🐛 🐜 🐞
Today we been looking at the life cycle of a frog. The kids loved playing with the tuff tray and managed to correctly point out the correct order of the life cycle. Safe to say the water in the tray was a hit and they are enjoying playing with the Lilly pads with the frogs. 🐸 🌺 ☀️

🤩 can you believe I have been up and running for 1 year! This has been the best decision I have made. I love working with the children and have had great support from both family and the parents whose children I care for. It’s like my extended family I love each and everyone of them. So thank you for giving me the best year. So may it continue. Massive thanks to Kim with out her this could have felt different. ❤️
