As I’m new to the area and I’ve recently opened my new salon to a whole new client base, I thought it would be a nice idea to introduce myself on here🥰

I’m originally from Inverness where I used to run my business ‘Beth’s Brows’. I have recently moved up to Dornie to start my new chapter in life with my Fiancé Robert MacRae, this is where I now call home🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I studied beauty therapy in Inverness and graduated with a Diploma in 2019. Since then I have completed many courses to keep my knowledge up to scratch and stay in the loop of new treatments and trends🤓

My achievements over the years-

When I’m not waxing brows or doing nails, I love to spend time with family and friends, going on dog walks with my fur baby ‘Suki Gal’, eating out, having a few wee white wines, weekends away and going on holiday (Crete🇬🇷🤍).

Lamination and lash lift combo🤩 I love these two treatments together- they’re amazing at enhancing your natural brows and lashes with very little aftercare! Results can last 6-8 weeks depending on skin type, skin care and life style. Patch test required for new clients or if it’s been 6 months since your last treatment with me- tests must be carried out 24-48 hours before treatment. So excited to finally share my new name and logo with you all🤩

RAÉ of beauty- coming to Skye and Lochalsh summer 2024!!

I am currently in the process of rebranding so there will be some changes on my instagram page such as new logo and name etc - please note I will still be working in Luxx Salon under Beth’s Brows until 26th June 2024 and all bookings can be done through the book now button on my page or if you download the ‘OvatuYou’ app you can find me on there too☺️

A wee insight into the new name and logo- a lot of attempts of finding a simple yet effective name I finally found it… ‘RAÉ of beauty’. I originally started with Ray of Beauty as I want all my clients to leave my salon feeling like a wee ray of beauty- after some research I noticed there’s a few beauticians working under the same name and I wanted something a bit different…as I’m getting married next year (planning a wedding isn’t stressful enough so decided to open my own salon on top of it all😅🤣) my surname will be changing to MacRae I then thought why not include my name somewhere as I did with my previous name which I felt worked well so I decided to use RAÉ instead and I LOVE it😍

An email was sent out to all clients last week regarding the up coming changes.

Come end of June, I will no longer be working in Luxx salon under Beth’s Brows. Due to changes in my personal circumstances I am currently relocating and rebranding my business. I am opening my very own wee salon up near the Isle of Skye near where I am currently living.

I’m sad it’s the end of an era but I’m so so excited for what’s to come and I can’t wait to update you all on the journey! I’m so grateful to have worked in such an amazing salon Luxx Salon with the best bunch of girls.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me and my business over the past few years- I couldn't be doing what I love if it wasn't for all of you! Also big thank you to my fiance Robert MacRae for spending all your weekends building the salon🫶🏼

I LOVE THESE BROWS🫶🏼🔥 ⠀
⠀
Lamination is probably my most popular treatment at the moment- I know it’s not for everyone and some pictures online can be quite off putting but it’s important to remember they are NOT stuck like this. I set the brows with a finishing oil which makes them appear sleek and ‘stuck’ also slightly darker than what they will be! This is only for the first 24 hours to allow the brows to set. After a day or two lamination brows can be brushed and styled into any desired shape. ⠀

Here’s some brow lamination to help you get the most out of your treatment-⠀
⠀
• Use an oil based make up remover to emulsify brow make up, wipe off in direction of brow hairs! Be gentle😬⠀
⠀⠀⠀
• Nourish those brows!!! Apply the brow oil I’ve provided you with most nights- be generous, there’s more in the bottle than you think! Brush through & style with brow brush. As we currently have warmer weather and clients going on holidays their brows might feel slightly drier than usual, if this is the case- apply a small amount of conditioner or hair mask for 5-10 mins and gently wipe off! I recommend applying the oil after this as the oil works as a sealant! Treat them how you’d treat the hair on your head😅⠀⠀⠀

• Do NOT get your brows wet for the first 24 hours after your treatment! ⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
• Never, EVER scrub your lamination brows- they have been chemically processed and without following correct home care/ aftercare it can lead to the hairs becoming damaged/ snapping! ⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
• Wait 10 weeks between lamination treatments, you don’t want to laminate laminated brows!! This can lead to over processing the hairs which can cause breakage/hair loss! ⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
• I recommend booking a wax and tint for 4-5 weeks after your lamination treatment! I call this a maintenance appointment- this allows me to keep your lamination looking fresh in between your treatments! ⠀⠀

Today was Abi’s 3rd Brow Lamination appointment with me and I’m delighted with how much fuller they are! Abi follows correct home/aftercare (mentioned below) which has helped to achieve these results!!👏🏼 ⠀

Lamination treatments are finished of with a nourishing oil causing them to look sleek and appear ‘stuck’, once the oil has been left to soak in for 24 hours they will appear fluffier and can be moved/styled to any desired shape🤩 they are never stuck!

𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝗶𝗼- 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁.

⚠️I hate to be this person BUT...I’ve had so many clients turning up to appointments recently without having a patch test- I will not carry out any treatments without being patch tested!

Please don’t leave it until the same day as your appointment to realise you need a patch test, this takes up a space that someone else could have had and leaves me with a gap I can’t fill at such short notice- it is time wasting and unfair! You will be charged the full price of the appointment you have booked or you will be un able to book again.

When booking an appointment it is stated on each treatment that all patch tests must be carried out at least 24 hours before your appointment- these can be booked through my OVATU booking app!

I don’t mean for this to come across as a rant and I hope you can all understand that at the end of the day I’m just trying to run a business, make an income and keep it fair for everyone!
