The first Grubby Green Fingers was a success! It was so lovely seeing the kids (and parents!) having fun in The Hub garden today. There was den building, potion making, colouring, fire building, toasting marshmallows and bubble making.

We have plenty of gazebos provided to us by the Trust 🙏 to provide some shelter in the chance of rain or blaring sun ☀️.

For those coming to our party tomorrow we have very kindly been given access by the Trust to the boat yard for general parking during the event….we’ve put signs on the road directing people to the area.

Anyone who is a Blue Badge holder will have closer dedicated parking which is nearer to the hub, again this will be signposted.

The normal parking area directly in front of the hub will be used for the coffee and donut van and pedestrian access to the building.

A very exciting early morning delivery from Highland Inflatables for our Picnic & Party TOMORROW! 😁 It's all starting to get very exciting. We can't wait to see you all there 🤩

On Saturday our front garden will be dedicated to children’s activities 🛝 🚗 🎨⚽️ the perfect start to the school holidays!

We have a huge bouncy slide, toddler ball pit, trampoline, mini cars, games & face painting.

For just £3 per child, you can buy a wristband which gives unlimited access to the bouncy slide, face painting and unlimited soft drinks.

And don’t forget there is also a complimentary buffet of sandwiches, sausage rolls, charcuterie sticks, dips and breadsticks 🥪 🍢🍗🥗

We also have a well stocked beer tent, with lager, cider, Prosecco, Pimms, alcohol free summer cocktail, Irn Bru, Coke, bottled water and bar snacks🥳

On the day we will be accepting cash and card payments 💴💳

We’d love more people in our community to get involved with BCC ☺️

There are so many great opportunities and rewarding experiences by being part of something that helps to improve the health and wellbeing of our community 😍

We have paid carer vacancies, as well as so many volunteers opportunities…..if you have a passionate hobby that you’d like to share and create a group we will fully support you and provide you with our space at the hub….photography, mechanics, fitness, youth groups, children’s summer clubs etc 🙏

We’d love to encourage the younger generation down at the hub so if you’re a parent and have ideas about how we can support our children in the community please drop us a message.

We also have opportunities to be involved in a more senior level by being a Trustee to help guide and improve our offering to the community to encourage a healthier and more active community.

If you come down on Saturday to our garden party you can chat to Jo & Olivia, as well as meeting our current Trustees, Kit, Susan, Katherine, Billy, Gordon & Isobel 😍

Did you know our hairdresser Jenny is full of many talents? She’s joining us on Saturday and will be giving psychic fabric readings/intuitive card readings 🎴 🔮

It’s a great way to gain clarity and direction in your life through her pyschics predictions, so be open minded and give it a go….you never know what the future might bring 😍

Help needed 🙏…we have a lovely new sign for our outside wall and wondered if anyone is available tomorrow day (Wednesday) to put it up for us please? It’s aluminium so would require suitable screws and drill to fix to the brick wall. Size of the sign is 1600mm x 800mm.
