We travelled over to Haverhill today as we looked to build on the positives from last week minus Joey due to illness and Junior who was away.

As a team it’s fair to say we never got going today for some reason the fight and determination showed by every player last week just wasn’t there. As we explained to the boys at half time and again after the game it doesn’t matter how good you are or aren’t at things in life or on the football pitch, what will always stand you in good stead is the desire to work as hard as you can for yourself and your team mates 👊 So we are hoping to see the desire the boys showed 7 days ago next weekend.

Back to the game and Cooper made a number of good saves again while Jack, Finn and Tommie gradually got in to the game in defence and done what they could to protect Cooper. Vaidvidas, Stanley, Alfie & Naziah done well when on the ball but for me and jono Theo, Z**i and Hayden lead the way with their no stop running and positive play. Hayden grabbed both the Man of the Match and our goal which were the rewards he deserved.

As I said to Tommie on the way home Rome wasn’t built in a a day or even a few weeks we will get their eventually but we must learn together as a team, Develop together as a team, face defeat together as a team before we can really enjoy winning together as a team….. a speech i felt was very positive and one i thought deserved some kind of reply from Tommie but as i turned around he was sound asleep 😂😂😂

Let’s stay positive boys remember our aim is to get better as a team every week and to do that we must work hard and always give our best that goes for you players and us coaches 👊
