Replaced the unit in these aluminium sliding balcony doors this afternoon, as it had blown/misted.

With 6mm glass both sides, and being over 2m high and 1.3m wide, it was a heavy one to carry 3 floors up! 💪🏼

Originally the door and top lights were all single pane float glass and an aluminium opening sash, and the bottom large frame was an old thin aluminium framed two part secondary slider.

All removed and replaced with new toughened double glazed units and timber beading, ready for painting 👌🏼

This customers triple glazed units in this shaped aluminium frame had blown/misted, and they didn’t like the satin glass. Replaced quickly and easily with new triple glazed clear units, looking good as new and filling the room with light ☀️ 👌🏼

This bedroom window was previously a bathroom window, so it had patterned glass with a fixed lower unit. This customer wanted it changed to clear glass and to make the bottom an opener instead, without needing to replace the entire window.

Fixed sash was removed from the frame, fitted with hinges, locking mechanism and handle and reinstalled 👌🏼 Glass changed to clear ✅ now like a whole new window 🙏🏼

Difficult job today with this being a tight enclosed space and only accessible by climbing down from a 3rd story roof! But we got it done and the customer is very pleased 👌🏼

Bifold doors can be problematic, with issues sliding, opening/closing and locking being commonly encountered. This can be down to poor fitting, incorrectly balanced glass, faulty parts or general wear and tear over time 👎🏼

This set was a mixture of those, as the multipoint locking mechanism had broken, and the doors were completely out of alignment due to poor fitting. I was able to adjust and realign the doors end to end, correctly balance the glass and replace the broken locking mechanism, leaving them operating perfectly like new ✨

Composite door hinges replaced after the original hinges wore out, the door was difficult to close and adjustment was no longer working. Now good as new 👌🏼

This customer had his patio door lock jam, and a broken handle. He had the original installers come out to look at it, who recommended me for the repairs 👨🏻‍🔧

I was able to find a replacement for the old locking mechanism and handle, and the door now works perfectly as good as new 👌🏼
