Today I did my first decorating job in my new home town. New starts are daunting and exciting in equal measure, but I really like this place. It's weird, quirky, and beautiful.

I know most of you will think this is boring, but I get a lot of satisfaction from this.

Quick little trip up to the new gaff to drop off the campervan and show Eric the sights.
Met the group of 3 that are reinstating all the old paths and rockeries around The Cliffs. 💙

Before and after for a delightful customer of 10yrs. The chap LOVES yellow. Every room is a different yellow!
Small spaces mean there's some waiting around for paint to dry.
Being the useful type, I tackled the electric air vent. We worked out it was 35 years of 'sruff' 😆

I can think of better ways to spend a sunday, and this one gave me swears.
Customer found the wallpaper for £2.50 a roll!

Might not be everyones cup of gin, but I enjoyed giving this a make-over for our new house.
Lots of sanding, cleaning and some Zinnser Aqua.
Dulux Diamond Satinwood in Sulking Room Pink and Mix of Aquamarine and Green Smoke.

Oldham looked quite lovely at 6am this morning. I was on my way to work, not home 😉

There was more to this job than met the eye. Coving, picture rail and ceiling rose, all in old yellowing high gloss. Wallpaer covering original plaster on walls and ceilings.
A lot of sanding and glueing. The ever reliable Zinnser BIN. Some filling. Looks good!
The paint is Tuesdays Child by COAT. A fabulous paint ro use. Great opacity and quality.

Some pics from a job I completed a while ago. Separating a dining area with a lovely F&B Inchyra Blue, inc the ceiling. Other walls in Little Greene Slaked Lime Pale. 💙

Woodwork was filled and sealed with Zinnser BIN before undercoat and top coats of Johnstones Aqua Satinwood.

This was super lovely to hang. Mural by Monks & Me. The problem with off the peg murals is that they're never exactly the right fit. Had to work out what to lose and what to keep.
It was a delightful woven paper.

Murals! These are ordered to size and need a bit of planning. 1 mural was too small for the space so I adapted 2 and made them flow together.

Loved this job. 2 shades of the same Little Greene colour Slaked Lime.
Revamp of some original Corbels.

Some before and afters of a small kitchen. Client wanted gold woodwork and a dark wall.
Walls in F&B Hague Blue in an Eggshell finish making it cleanable.

I seemed to do lots of Hallways that year. This one was in Farrow and Ball - Vert de Terre. Woodwork in White Aqua Satinwood.
