A rare issue these days! The earlier LT230 Transfer boxes had no provision for lubrication of the internals of the input gear which usually resulted in a situation like this where the rear output shaft of the gearbox (An LT77 in this case) ended up being worn to the point of failure. This vehicle was originally in for just a transfer box and overdrive but is now getting a gearbox too, as it would not have been long before a loss of drive!
Later LT230'S had cross drilled holes for lubrication and these improved gears can be retro-fitted in to all but the earliest of boxes. Most have already been done over the years, but every so often we find another!
