So, what is the most random Birthday present youāve ever given someone? To set the scene, as a child if there was a spider in my bedroom, I would have a distinctive call of āCatheeerrrrinnnnneā and my sister knew I had a spider for her to gather up and take into her bedroom ā¦ how anyone could sleep with that many spiders around I didnāt know!! Obviously over time and living away from my sister, I had to deal with the spiders myself and they can happily be in my bedroom ā¦ unless they are the huge ones then they do have to go! When I was a mobile Beauty Therapist, I regularly visited a client who had at least 10 tanks with various Tarantulas in and that got me thinking. As a total surprise for my sisters 40th Birthday, I gave her a Chilean Rose Tarantula, sheās called Ruby. Kate sent a video of her the other day making a rare appearance of actually moving and going in her water bowl. Ruby is now around 16 years old and her tank sits safely in her office ā¦ which is a topic of conversation when her clients realise what is in the tank!
