Back on the mud, back in our element...
Brilliant session tonight working on our tackle zones and tackle techniques, the players absolutely loved learning while getting grafted tonight!!
Massive well done to Frankie our trainer of the week who really impressed the coaches tonight with her amazing tackling and attitude, frank has had her ups and downs with tackling but tonight she took the bull by the horns and didn't let anyone get past her and was fearless while doing so, well done Frank keep it up🦁
Big well done to George and Grayson, their first sessions in the mud with us tonight and they both really got stuck in and impressed us with some great tackling and effort in training🦁
Keep up the hard work team!!
Yesterday we had a brilliant joint training session with our brilliant lambwath lions U8s.
It was a great session ran by our U8s and both teams worked really well together. We worked on fitness, evasion and some good footwork and ball handling drills.
Our lads and lasses all put 100% effort into the session and all worked really hard.
We would like to say a huge well done and welcome to the team to our trainer if the week George who fit in with the team really well and had a big smile on his face from the start of the session right to the finish, well done George.
Hopefully we can get back on the grass soon and really start prepping towards the new season ahead🦁🦁

The team was super happy with it. Thank you again for your service! Would definitely recommend & use again! 😊
Our last thank you to East Hull for having us last night! Some brilliant rugby played and we can’t wait to face all the teams again next season 🦁
Well guys… that’s a wrap ‼️
What a fantastic season these bunch of players have had. Last night we had an amazing turn out, the support was brilliant and for the first time this season, all of our coaches were able to be on the field at the same time, together. What a great feeling to leave this season on. We can’t express how proud we are of our team, they have been amazing from start to finish and have excelled every week, always learning new things. The players have developed so much over the last 7 months playing games and we couldn’t of asked for any more from them. They put their heart & soul in every week and it really has shown. A huge well done Lambwath, you have been an absolute credit and made everyone around you, from parents to coaches, immensely proud. We would like to say a big thank you to our parents who have also dedicated their time in ensuring these players come down to training and turning up to games every week. Also, the continued support from them in helping us fundraise and all the little things you do behind the scenes, it does not go unnoticed 😊
Now onto our training programme, good things are coming… ⏱️🏉
A huge well done to the players, parents, siblings & coaches that participated on our bucket collection walk yesterday! They started in town and made it back to Longhill, hitting some of the busiest places along the way! They raised a whopping £380 just from people donating along the way - so thank you so much to those who stopped to donate. The players once again represented the team and club amazingly and without them, none of this would of been possible. You should all be extremely proud of yourselves! 🦁
‼️ We’re still on the lookout for topless waiters if anyone would like to volunteer! Just pop us a message 😊‼️

Firstly we would like to thank East Hull and Cottingham Tigers for coming down to us tonight. There were some great games of rugby played! Thanks again guys.
Tonight we are extremely proud of our team, they played exceptionally well in defence and ran the ball with great strength and determination every time too. We are really starting to play as a team now and the bond our players have together is really starting to be present in games. For example, we have some of our stronger runners giving offloads instead of running the ball and we have a whole team helping to push their team mates across the line. We are starting to play as one, It’s great to see.
Our player of the matches tonight:
Oliver - After an outstanding few weeks, Oliver really topped it off tonight with an overall outstanding display of rugby. His tackling was solid and his technique when tackling, especially legs, was absolutely brilliant, letting few to none past him. He ran the ball with great speed, scoring some great tries and giving great offloads to set his team up. He was also always supporting his team mates by being by their side, this resulted in him actually scoring a couple of times from offloads that his team mates gave him. Great game tonight Oliver!
Stanley - Stanley was back to his best tonight! He worked really well on his in-game attitude, which was on point. His tackling was fierce, using his body really well and with great technique. Stanley’s not a player who scores many tries but he is defiantly top of the list with try assists as he passes the ball and offloads with great skill and one of the best methods we’ve seen! Which is brilliant as we’ve been teaching the players that team work and assisting is just as, if not more important. Well done Stanley, brilliant game tonight!
Only two more game nights left of our first season!! And what a season it has been. Onto next week at Eastside to play Skirlaugh, dockers and kingswood. See you next week guys 🦁
A huge thank you to Myton Warriors ARLC for having our U6’s attend their Gala Day on Saturday. What a day it was! We can speak on behalf of our coaches, players and parents when we say the day was great and enjoyed by everyone. Some brilliant rugby played and then the afternoon spent with great company! The day was ran so well from start to finish and it was a pleasure as always Myton! Thank you again for having us 🫱🏼🫲🏽✨
Our Coach Charlie would like to say “I would firstly like to say how proud I am of our team for representing the club in such a great manner, every player was a credit to the team and not just played outstandingly but behaved as they always do with great attitude and respect towards other teams and made some new friends along the way, which is what these days are all about!
All 5 of our players that attended the festival played with such grit and determination considering how hot the weather conditions were. Every player tackled and ran the ball with passion and stuck together as a team throughout the whole day.
A huge well done to our player of the tournament, Quinlan. Quin gave 100% effort in all 3 games and ran the ball as well as tackled like a machine. A thoroughly deserved player of the tournament and we couldn’t have asked for more from him. Keep up the good work Quin!” 😊
We have started our bucket collection down at asda Mount pleasent, pop down and see the players get a picture and autograph if your lucky🦁🦁🦁

A week in review-
Tuesday 25th April saw us travel to East hull for a great festival against East Hull, beverly, holderness and west hull... We came up against some brilliant East Hull teams and we played amazing too, our running and tackling was brilliant and we showed great enthusiasm all night.
Players of the match- Quinlan Wood, quin played with every single bit of effort he had in his body, this performance had been building for a number of weeks after some outstanding performances in training. Quin ran the ball with great power and was a big handful for opposition players, quin scored some great tries and made some great tackles. Keep up the good work quin well done💪
Michael Rogers, Michael performed out of his skin as usual, Michael led by example to his team mates and was involved in every tackle, he was the first off the line when tackling and didn't miss many tackles either. Michael showed outstanding footwork and finished some great tries too. Well done Michael, keep up these amazing performances you are shaping each week👏
Thursday 27th April
Training was based on passing and evasion, we worked on our technique and finding space when running the ball.
Our trainer of the week was Eric, Eric tackled everyone!!! Even his own teammate at one point😂 Eric was very enthusiastic and was happy to be back after a few weeks out, well done eric👏
Saturday 29th April
Training was a fun session today as we worked on 2 on 1 tackling and close proximity evasion. Everyone did brilliant and showed great attitude.
Our trainer of the week was logan who showed great listening skills and really had a lift in attitude after a tricky few weeks. Logan showed great skill tackling and running and should be very proud of how he trained today, well done logan👏
Another fantastic week done, onto the next💪🦁
Massive well done to all of our super stars today... What an unbelievable training session, every single player put 110% into training today, they was all brave, enthusiastic energetic and happy.

A big happy birthday to frankie from all the coaches players and volunteers, have a great day frankie🦁
What a brilliant night last night and we would like to thank west hull for hosting a great festival... We would also like to thank myton and Kingswood for some great games of rugby.
Both of our teams ran and tackles amazingly last night and really have started looking like a really well bonded team, using great team work and rallying round to encourage each other🦁
Players of the match-
Ellis- Ellis was absolutly fearless going into tackles he took down the biggest players from other teams and stopped some tries been scored by some of the more agile players, Ellis also scored some outstanding tries and ran the ball with great effort. Ellis showed amazing team spirit when he team mates for injured he was making sure to comfort them and was always encouraging his team mates when running the ball, well done Ellis!!
Hunter- as always hunter played three brilliant games, he was involved in every single tackle, taking om every player he came up against. Hunters running looks effortless at times, very natural runner of the ball and he has some great dancing feet to get through teams and bag some outstanding tries, well done hunter brilliant again!!!
A special shout out to quin who was our honourable mention this week as he played out of his skin!! The level of rugby was really high this week and so many could of won player of the match but even though quin didn't win it he was a serious contender, he was a little wrecking ball when running scoring some great tries and making great yards when every player from opposite teams are hanging off him, he also worked double hard in defence tracking back and getting involved in more tackles, well done Quinlan!!
Looking forward to training thursday night and Saturday morning before we head to East hull on tuesday night. Thanks for everyone who came to watch last night🦁🦁🦁

All four teams did remarkably well in very testing conditions that even the coaches and parents struggled to withstand so well done to all players for putting such great effort in👏
Both of our teams defended outstandingly and ran the ball with great strength. We showed some great team work and encouragement towards our team mates in the horrible conditions. Well done to all 9 players at lambwath who did every person part of the club proud.
Players of the match-
Freddie- freddie has really found his all playing regular games picking up his 2nd player of the match already. His running was on fire and got more involved in tackles. Freddie was setting the line really well this week and was finally using his voice to help his team mates well done freddie💪
Frankie- frankie has come on leaps and bounds since playing week in week out and had really found her voice in the team been the first to set the line when tackling, frankie was involved in every tackle on Tuesday and really led from the front. Even though frankie is one of our smaller players she runs the ball with great bravery and doesn't shy away from giving her all, really well done frankie🦁
