"Hello Old Friend!" PLEASE READ TO THE END!:D Folks, this flag has flown above Surrey for almost a year. I took it up our tallest tree on June 2nd 2012, when I did my first Tree Top Gig to raise money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

Today I did a solo flag retrieval, and reminded myself just how it feels to be at the top of very tall trees: In a high wind like today, it's not always awesome!:/ It's hard to say which of us looks more tired and weather beaten, but suffice to say, we've both been through a lot since the fateful day we first venture up that tree!

In just over a week I will be taking this flag up the Tallest Tree in Britain for the next phase of my campaign. It's been one hell of a journey getting to this point and I can't believe the big day is actually upon us. I have worked hard over the last months, made some great friends and progress, but also seen many plans and plenty of hard work come to nothing. But hey, it's nothing at all to what patients at The Marsden are dealing with.

Since I started this adventure I have lost several friends to cancer, and heard shocking news of very close contributors to the campaign facing terrifying new battles of their own. I have experienced first hand the horror of losing people we love to something that we still don't fully understand. But I've also heard the good news, tales of success and surprise recovery, and that is thanks in no small part to the wonderful people at the Marsden!

I am writing to ask if you'll help me with my quest. If you can contribute directly by donating, or by getting me in touch with your company, organisation or anyone who may be able to spread the word of this thing as far as possible.
