Massive congratulations to Debbie Kessel for passing her most recent grading. Grandmaster Teh himself has presented Debbie with her certificate on Sunday, to mark this wonderful occasion. Debbie delivered a great performance at the grading and has now been promoted to 3rd Ji - Blue Belt / Red Tags. We're looking forward to seeing her working towards her Red Belt. Congratulations!
What a wonderful and an emotional occasion we've had yesterday. Last night was Maggie Hamilton’s last training session before she spreads her wings and jets off to conquer Australia! Maggie has been a Tukido student since 1999. In 2009 she had to take a break from training to focus on her work with the Scottish Police Force shortly after attaining her 1st Ji Red Belt. 10 years later Maggie was finally able to rejoin Tukido and worked hard since to complete her training toward the Black Belt, which she has earned last year!
Yesterday’s occasion was marked by speeches made by a few of the instructors as well as a guest appearance by Master William Davie, who was a massive part of Maggie's training in the earlier years. Grandmaster Teh himself has presented Maggie with a commemorative plaque as a celebration of her Tukido achievements and a reminder that Tukido family is always there for her!
Maggie’s energy, indomitable spirit, hard work, determination and a great smile will massively be missed, and we all wish her the absolute best in this new and exciting chapter!
A festive session at Glasgow Tukido Club to mark the end of the year! 👏👏
