Monday Monkeys is a lovely friendly playgroup which runs every Monday Term Time only, 9.30 - 11.30. £ Birth to Pre-school.
Monday Monkeys is a friendly village playgroup which runs during term time every Monday morning 9.30 - 11.30 at Spofforth Village Hall, Castle Street, Spofforth, HG3 1AP. Each session includes a nutritional selection of snacks for each child and Tea/Coffee and Biscuits for the carers. A wide selection of toys for your child to explore including a Home Corner, Book Corner, Car Mats, Ride ons, Comfo
So the elves are busy finishing the final touches for tomorrow’s party day 🌲 this is a prepaid party session.
Remember party time is 10-12 to allow the monkey elves to prepare.
Lots of fun to be had and a yummy party lunch…. Ssh we might also get a visitor 🎅🏻around 11.30 ♥️ … happy Christmas 🎄 kind regards Helen and her team ♥️

It’s chilly in a morning and wet …. Why not come along to the spofforth village hall and have a coffee and meet new friends …. Here at the spofforth village hall we provide a traditional playgroup where the children play and you get to chat with mums,dads, nannies and carers … all ages welcome £3.50 includes a scrumptious snacks/juice and hot drink for the adults … all welcome x🙊x ♥️x

It’s our last session on Monday before the summer break. We have decided to change venue for the morning and will be at the Cricket Club to enjoy some outside space and will run from 10-12pm. Please feel free to bring a picnic and we will provide the usual drinks but instead of snack we will have ice cream treats!

We enjoyed exploring shapes with our potato printing today! We are now having a 2 week break for the school holidays and will be back open on 12th June - hope to see you then!

The bad news: tomorrow isn’t a bank holiday. The good news: Monday Monkeys will be on 9:30-11:30 with some rainbow themed craft, toys, snack, coffee and biscuits!

We had a lovely morning celebrating the start of spring painting flowers with forks, building gardens and playing with playdoh. Next week is our last session before the Easter break so join us for some egg related fun!!
No plans for the weekend .. it’s not too late join us for a night of casino fun, try your hand at black Jack, Roulette or Poker, Pie and Peas, a few drinks or all of the above, you could even grab a bargain in the silent auction ( 4 men or 4 ladies for the day up for grab amongst lots more) all to raise funds for the children of Spofforth.. tickets available at Londis 🍺🥂♥️♣️♠️♦️
Any one up for a fun night out? Casino night in the village is set to be a very fun night and the monkeys team can’t wait and would love to have some of your join us!
Samaritans have rebranded ”Blue Monday” (19th Jan) as “Brew Monday” to raise awareness for those who may be finding things abit tough and encouraging us all to reach out. And let’s face it anyone caring for a small person can always benefit from a hot cuppa and a chat! So come along on Monday for some small world coffee shop play, craft and a hot drink! (N.b. We aren’t raising money for Samaritans on the day simply raising awareness and encouraging anyone who has maybe been nervous of coming to join us for a brew)

The big man is visiting Spofforth on Sunday 4th December! The grotto will be open 3-5pm for £3 a visit. If you live in the village then why not have a display and make sure the big man knows where to come on Christmas Day 😉

We are spring cleaning before our first session back to make sure everything is germ free with some little helpers!

Thankyou to everyone who came to our last session this morning before the summer break, we managed to stay pretty cool!! Thought I would just post to say that I know the summer holidays can be long and hard to fill!! So if anyone is heading to a local park for a play and wants to put it on the group to see if anyone fancies it then feel free! Have a lovely summer everyone and see you on the 12th September!
The hall is lovely and cool and we will be getting the ice out soon!
We are still planning on going ahead tomorrow and will keep things as cool as possible! We will update on here if the hall is too hot in the morning but hopefully it will be a nice sanctuary from the blazing weather!
With the temperatures hotting up even more next week, come and cool down with us for a couple of hours on Monday. Our final session before the summer will be all about ice! We’ll have some ice painting and toys that need rescuing from the ice!
