It’s been an incredibly busy week in our kitchen and cooking was not an option so instead we headed out to our lovely local pizza and ordered two very well deserved chilled drinks!

Today was a very special day celebrating the life of a very talented and kind lady who we had the pleasure of knowing through our time together working and living within the Surrey Hills. Our dear friend Pep was certainly a mover and shaker and has left a big legacy on Mother Earth. We had the pleasure of looking after her dear wife, family and freinds who came to the stunning Clandon Wood burial ground to celebrate her life and to listen to so many wonderful stories about her life and the difference she made to others. Beautifully conducted by the lovely Ros and team at Town and Country funerals. We served a big selection of sandwiches, savoury bites and delicious freshly baked cakes along with refreshing elderflower and chilled drinks. Friday night was all about the wonderful Wildlife Trust. The event took place at the lovely local Barn at West Horsley Place. It was such a lovely barmy summers evening so everyone could enjoy the views of the stunning landscape and enjoy our delicious vegetarian menu. Awards were handed out, butterflies and dragonflies were created at the willow weaving earlier during the day, and a botanical gin making class with local distiller Mews. Sometimes we have to deliver our food to some great locations and this evening was no exception! Delivering our yummy grazing boxes loaded with charcuterie, cheeses and fruits to the first class passengers who would be eating them whilst enjoying their trip around the Surrey Hills on the wonderful steam train from Victoria. We were guests in the Pullman class which made us feel like royalty. Wonderful service, fantastic food and breathtaking scenery. If you haven’t tried this very special dining experience we would highly recommend it. Perfect treat for a special occasion like a Birthday or Wedding gift, Corporate Entertainment or just because you can. Relax enjoy and be prepared to very looked after! 🚂 🌸

The rain didn’t stop our summer salads showing off in all their glory on our buffet stations. We create delicious food that is loaded with taste, glorious colours of the rainbow and pops infusion of taste in your mouth. We source as many ingredients locally to keep our carbon low and bring love light and happiness onto your plate. Pretty flowers to decorate our plates came from Amanda and yummy Microherbs from both walking distance from our kitchen. It’s Animal healing today here at Harry Edwards - our cafe is in full swing with lots of delicious home made cakes sandwiches and salads. Interesting visitors today!

We are super excited to announce our new cafe that will be opening at the Harry Edwards Healing Foundation nestled in Shere in the Surrey Hills. Over the next few months we will be transforming the position and menu and we can’t wait to see you! We are super blessed to be part of the amazing journey the foundation is currently under going. We are so happy to announce our collaboration with the wonderful Harry Edwards healing Foundation. Nestled in the heart of the Surrey Hills. Over the next few months we will be busy creating some delicious menus and baking some delicious treats for their cafe, events and courses. If you have never experienced healing, reiki, yoga etc we would highly recommend you come and try it here. HEF is a charity and relies on donations. Well what a month! No time for posting but here’s a little snapshot into the world of Team Lavender’s world over the past few weeks…. Special Birthdays, canapé parties, 18th, 21st, 60th and a 90th! - lots and lots of corporate lunches, FA, and an absolute fantastic supercar launch! What an amazing month…a awful lots of eggs cracked, pastry rolled, cream whipped, Vegetables chopped, rice steamed and a wholelotoflove mixed into our menus to bring warmth, happiness and love to everyone that ate a bowl or plate of our goodness. These two little beauties are off to a lovely couple who will be tasting our ‘Italian’ influence menu for their wedding. Surrey hills butchers chicken stuffed with a fresh sage and sundried tomato cream wrapped up in pancetta. This will be served with fresh seasonal vegetables. We start with a Silent Pool Gin G&T, followed by a short tour of the distillery during which, we share the legend of the Silent Pool and visit the copper gin stills that make our spirits. Then, sit down to a tea of delicious sandwiches and cakes paired with a selection of our gins. We also offer tea and coffee, before serving a second Silent Pool Gin G&T in a complimentary Copa glass to take home.

You’ll also receive a £5 voucher to use in the distillery shop (T&Cs apply).

What a fabulous day to kick start the year off with. A whole afternoon tasting the amazing Gin at silent pool and pairing it up with our take on an afternoon tea. One of our favourite pairings was our ‘drunken triple chocolate brownie paired with SP’s Vodka infused with Chimney Fires Coffee to make the most amazing Espresso shot ever! Yum yum yum!! Another very busy year for our food Angels. We have had a fantastic year and have met some really lovely people in some wonderful places.. To thank all the amazing team we had a fun night drinking, eating and dancing at our Christmas Party to an Abba Tribute Band. And that as they say is a wrap! We had the pleasure of offering our fine dining lunch menu to VIP guests attending an events meeting for next year. The lunch took place in one of the stunning private rooms at West Horsley Place. We styled the table with soft greys and white linen which was complimented with a stunning arrangement of beautiful winter flowers from local florist Blake’s of Bookham. Our two course menu was tenderly cooked Salmon with a pistachio, lemon and Panko crumb, seasonal vegetables, potato dauphinoise warm Beurre Blanc, and sharp lemon posit with micro blueberries and edible flowers.

This week we had the huge task of providing a goodie food bag to hundreds of under privileged children in Surrey who were being treated to an evening at our local theatre. After registering they headed over to the goodie bag station and after the show they collected a fantastic goodie bag loaded with treats, games, and toiletries that had been very kindly donated and coordinated from our lovely freind Luisa. Sometimes in our world these special times makes our charity work so so humbled and happy that we can make a big difference to someone’s life for just a moment or too. www.lavendercatering.co.uk

We feel so blessed to look after the local community at this special time of year. We served a delicious turkey lunch followed by traditional Christmas Pudding and warm brandy custard. Afterwards we all went next door to the church and sang lots of carols which made us all feel very Christmassy.

A beautiful Winter Wedding set in our clients garden. Our service started at 11am with champagne and canapés for the immediate family followed by a sit down luncheon. We served beautifully tender MR surrey hills beef wellington and a pistachio lemon crust Salmon followed by traditional Elton mess in our vintage cups. In the afternoon the bride and groom welcomed their freinds with young families for an afternoon tea of finger sandwiches and scones, then the evening guests arrived who were fed with our bowl food (sausages and mash, Thai curry) and then to see the evening through to the end we set up a spectacular cheese station and sweet treat brownies and macrons.The lovely dog was also a very special wedding guest who loved saying hello to all the guests.
