Do you improvise when making your kits? I tend to use instructions as a guide rather than something I have to do. That makes the end result mine.

When we sell kits that are not designed by us I always try before adding to the store.

It’s a while since I got crafty but with the list of potential new kits growing I thought I had best have a go.

My first thought with the one I started today was that the wool colours are slightly off but that’s okay.

I tend to use patterns and images on a kit as a guide only as feel it makes a piece more individual.

I am playing with how I do the leaves and flowers and am making the kit a little more 3 dimensional.

Tomorrow should be fun!

It’s been another busy week at MillyRose Crafts as we listed a whole load of monsters, a set of ghosts, a very cute owl, a couple of cute gnomes as we gear up towards Autumn and Halloween.

Back to the craft where we started today as we added lots of gorgeous merino wool roving to our Amazon US store.

The wool is sold as wool tops/roving so in the long length fibres rather than carded. Having said that the wool has a slightly coarser texture which means it is really good for 2D and 3d needle felting.

Tomorrow it will be live on the Amazon UK store and also on our own millyrosecrafts.com. store.

I had a “child in a sweet shop” feeling when choosing all the colours (we have 50 more that we might add later!!🥰) and I have to say I love the blended wool….. the colours are amazing.

I have often walked past this craft in a shop and have passed over any links that popped up when searching for cross stitch.

Today I am no longer ignoring what has become quite a fashionable, and growing, craft.

This one is very special: the design is mine and incorporates the BSL sign for “I Love You” and will be dedicated to our gorgeous 5 year old grand daughter Emilia who was born profoundly deaf.

At age 11 months Emilia had cochlea implants and is just about to complete her first year of main strean school. Ahead for her age she is testament to what can be achieved with sheer determination and she is my constant source of inspiration💕💕
