What does your wardrobe or home look like? What complements your skin tone or personality? Do you love polished neutrals or rainbow brights? Dark and moody or light and airy? Complementary colours or direct opposites can work beautifully. I often like to throw in a colour curve ball adding black to neutrals, brown to peach and blue to make something characterful. What to expect when working with us?

In a nutshell… complete and utter commitment to the design of your day.

We will guide you through seasonal flowers and complimentary colour palettes; and introduce you to our world of expertly curated florals.

Guided by depths of your interests and personalities, with your venue as our canvas, we’ll work with your suppliers to transform your wedding day into something that is uniquely you.

We’ll sketch, plan and document our designs so that you know exactly what to expect and how florals integrate with your aesthetic.

1. To begin, complete our enquiry form providing as much information about your day and floral budget.

2. We’ll have an initial consultation to help learn more about you, your interests and plans for your wedding day. We’ll talk you through through some initial ideas, what to expect in working with us and ways to optimise your floral budget for impact!

3. We’ll supply a quote and initial proposal and anticipate some back and forth to get this just right.

4. Following booking, we usually plan a further 1-2 consultations from 6 months of your wedding, to build out the floral design, working with all of your wedding suppliers to design a wedding as unique as you.

Personal moments and sneaks from R&Ds beautiful wedding weekend at last month by 🤍

Rooted in deep family connections to Ireland and Yorkshire, a warm white palette of white roses (Yorkshire!) and local flora unfolded into vibrant zesty greens (Ireland!) in the venue.

Last month, we joined to create the cutest farm-inspired bridal shower for A, who is marrying her farmer fiancé this summer.

A growing trend from transatlantic brides and a tamer alternative or addition to the traditional UK hen party, this bridal shower offered a grown-up farmer girl luncheon in a private dining room, with a country-chic tablescape, reusable handbags gifts complete with DIY floral crowns, mini game booklets & wooden pens, sweet sugar cookies - all bespoke to the theme - and lots of champagne!

I have always been fascinated by nature. It feels to me both entirely infinite, as though it has always been, and yet it is so delicately fragile.

My earliest memory is the touch of blades of grass on the palms of my hand, with the warmth of my dad sitting behind me. I asked my mum if she could find a photo of this and here it is. In fact there are several…

Here is eight-month-old me – a kernel of chance. Sitting in the wild, unkept garden of the house that my mum and dad had just bought from Granny, preoccupied by the touch of grass and the composition of a flower; and so it has always been.

The couple had travelled from Australia to get married at on a beautiful June day at the most beautiful church in before their short trip to the reception

Lofty, wafty ceremony florals for L+F in the beautifully landscaped gardens of …👉🏼scroll to see wafty floral designer in action…

The bridal party and reception flowers for L+F were floral lead (meaning they were predominantly petals!). BUT when I learnt that the ceremony meadow was to be positioned on the terrace at The Fig House and not onto the garden itself, I knew that we had to incorporate an element of the beautifully landscaped garden into these designs. Adding delicate, feathery foliage textures that danced amongst the garden, created an intimate ceremony space that was both a part of the garden and intimately a part of the nuptials.

The effect was exquisite, timeless and beautiful 🤍

Like flower ninja’s we sneak in whilst you and your guests are enjoying confetti and photos, and return to your reception venue to ensure flowers are in situ before you are back.

Hiding in the shadows of a busy wedding season.

All the work is busying away behind doors. Lots of exciting creative projects and gorgeous weddings that we are mid-design for.

Our couples are travelling from the US, Australia and Dubai, as well as some more closer to home.

Each wedding is entirely different from the next and an expression of each couple and I am so excited for every one.

I am so excited to share with you but for now it’s all under wraps. Well perhaps few sneak peaks on Stories 🤫

Be fiercely you.

When Eva and I first spoke, she was really clear on their priorities…

- She didn’t want bridesmaids. Not that her girlfriends weren’t important but she preferred to walk down the aisle solo and didn’t want to specify clothes.

- They only wanted a photographer for a few hours for the ceremony and speeches.

- She loved seasonal flowers.

So we leveraged the flower budget on abundant spring florals that lined the dinner table, billowed from ceremony urns and cascaded above guests in a drinks reception chandelier.

Change of plan ✨

Spoiler!! You don’t need to have all the answers at consultation…

When we originally discussed E’s bridal bouquet, it was a larger gathered garden style bouquet bouncing with spring florals BUT when I saw this beautiful dress late last year, I instantly knew we had to change it.

The strong feminine silhouette and rich abundant fabric demanded something softer and petite; something that wouldn’t compete or detract and worked more as an accessory.

After discussing with our bride, we opted for a petite bijou bouquet of Calla Lilies, Dendrobium Orchids, Tulips, Ranunculus, Paper Whites and Snow Drops. It also meant that budgets could be used for bigger installations.

We think it worked perfectly. What about you?

Bijou bouquet 🤍

A peaceful moment to take a deep breath before it all begins…

This is the perfect example of how an image can seem posed but isn’t…this is a fully candid moment of E reading the board outside the church while her mother fixed her dress ready to walk through the doors and marry her partner 🤍

Fleeting are flowers.

The ephemerality of flowers, their “here today, gone tomorrow” quality, as a cost at your wedding, can sometimes be a point of negotiation for couples.

I understand. I have had that conversation.

Flowers are fleeting. They are also a natural wonder of our world that provide immeasurable joy and beauty.

they are of their moment.

This one is for the boys…

There is nothing that I love more than seeing a groom on the call at consultation. It gives me a more rounded view of you as a couple, a glimpse at your love story that really helps the overall design.

So far I’ve had:

· “What I am wearing is a secret!” …Hmm!
· Groom loves minimalist calm aesthetic, bride loves maximalism – can the florals work for both of us? …Absolutely!
· We met at school in Mexico…
· It’s our second marriage and we really want to prioritise our family.

Each glimpse seeds an idea that eventually informs an entire design that is unique to you.

The same applies LGBTQ+ couples by the way – getting to meet you both, enhances the overall design.

After colour, comes form.

For this design, we really wanted to create something that would complement the beautiful Jacobean architecture and grandeur of whilst creating an intimate ceremony space for our couple. We designed cascading florals that appeared suspended with pools of soft linens. Florals moved with the day, even to the very beautiful honeymoon suite 🤍

Complementing the rambling ivy that would envelope the couples ceremony space, we worked with the window to design an intimate and organic vignette for our couple, that later moved to the top table.
