Amazing to see Rob's old car win the Best of Show award at the Airmighty Show in Holland this weekend.

Lee Irving of Irvs Restorations has done such a great job on the car, he should be very proud of his achievements going up against some of the best VW's in Europe.

Rob Tomlinson's re-imagined Oval took one of the ultimate trophies in the VW world today.

Much deserved, it has to be said.

Rob Tomlinson's former car, sold by former owner Mark Paine, after careful consideration, to Lee Irving of Irv's VW Restorations who has recently restored the car to top show car quality as seen here at this weekends Volksworld Show at Sandown Park Racecourse, Esher, Surrey, UK.

On speaking to Lee he said he was very careful to keep it true to Robs vision of the car. I'm sure Rob would love how it turned out.

Glad I took a couple of the original Leeds Beetle Club decals with me which I gave to Lee and without a second thought applied one in the original place all the LBC2 cars had them, top centre of the windscreen.
