Nearly ready for a Test fire 1.9 tdi with mechanical pump

So this is a van that came to us for a bit of love a while back nearly time to put her back together

And she is up and running on the road .
Full spec 2.5 tdi with custom built mechanical pump a vnt turbo axg inlet and exhaust manifold. Long nose conversion with axg rad pack with big front mount intercooler. Axg gear box and shafts and clutch , later subframe conversion with fully rebuilt subframe

And she is running

Getting there now long nose conversion done apart from paint . All the fabrication test fitted.I did say years ago I’d never convert an early van to long nose again lol . But it’s done now drive shafts have being refurbished so hopefully old engine out and new engine and box in tomorrow. Woohoo

First step to getting the van ready for her new engine later subframe fitted with all new bushes and bearings and ball joints . so I can start on the engine swop next weeks

A few little jobs we have been on with
Our first Camper conversion , a intercooler on a t25 we did a 1.9 mtdi conversion on a while back . And a 240v 12 bolt consumer unit we have done . some body work we have done . And another turbo conversion

A 2.4 turbo conversion on a t4 transporter that we have just done .

This waz a bit rotten but all sorted now
New steering rack and ball joints and pump timing set up all moted and back with the customer

Front mount inter cooler bigger turbo (needs a bigger actuator ) bigger injectors now to map it after we have sorted the actuator

Always nice to get some feed back from customers .
A bit of an epic battle (monster turbo lol )this 1 came in for a cambelt and water pump a few months ago smoking badly and poor starting over boosting and verious other issues . We did the cambelt and sorted a few of the issues , then advised the customer of further work needed. He returned his van for a axg intercooler to replace the small front mount intercooler and smother pipe work out to help the big turbo breath and perform better , also the poor quality injector and worn fuel pump needed sorting . A bit of body work aswell .

After all our hard work we have been rewarded with 2 wins at a Vw show . Always nice when people notice the work that goes in to our builds

Always nice to clean them up when doing a service and sorting the oil leaks out full service and cambelts crank and cam seals and a new bottom pully

A few jobs we have been doing at A.M.P from a full syncro van build including a full turbo engine build and a multivan interior . To cambelts,turbo conversions , and some damp repairs on a coatch built motorhome.

The axg refurb is coming along nearly ready for paint . New hybrid turbo on new inter cooler and pipe work to fit

A few jobs we have been on with
Some rust repairs on a nice bus with the 151 bhp axg in it but it’s also having a new hybrid turbo and a map .
Also given my own bus some love after her 29 years service. Re wax oil inside the sills and Rapter the sills . Also another engine

A few bits that we have been on with here at AMP
Our workshop van Mk2 caddy tdi conversion, hybrid turbo,new cambelt,new clutch we also fitted heated seats and cruise control.

And some body maintenance to stop the rot from setting in on the arches of my t4 first bit of body maintenance since manufacture 29 years old
