We specialise in building bespoke furniture for our clients to a design and size they require, using locally sourced or reclaimed wood where possible.

Past projects have included coffee tables, desks, tv cabinets, bookcases, wine storage and we are just about to start work on an oak dining table with matching bench.

We find it best to keep our customers local as we can easily visit to take measurements and discuss what style and type of wood would fit in with existing furnishings, plus our customers have enjoyed visiting the workshop to see our progress and select from a choice of finishes we can demonstrate for them.

Hi, I’m Ali, Creator & Maker at Box of Whiffs. I share a unit with my husband Richard at Belmonte Insurance Services in unit 6.

I started making soy wax melts and candles in my kitchen during the first lockdown but soon ran out of space! I make soy wax melts, candles, sulphate free soap sponges, room diffusers, vac and car fresheners, room sprays and I have a large selection of burners. I am insured, compliant and hold all the assessment certification required.

I can make bespoke creations, wedding favours, and make gift boxes up for a lovely unique present.

🐝 The Bee Hub 🐝

The Bee Hub opened in 2020 as a home for our cheerleading team, NRG Extreme cheerleaders who are a voluntary run team that have been running for 19 years. They provide Cheerleading and Pom dance classes for ages 4+ ✨

During the week we run Stay and Play session for 0-4 year olds, these include the use of our toddler bouncy castle and baby sensory room. We also have lots of local businesses that use our space and provide their own classes. Including
Messy Monkeys, Post Natal Pilates with Louise, Little Movers & Fit Mums with Ashleigh.

On a weekend we provide children’s birthday parties we have 2 bouncy castles and we also offer children’s Pom dance parties 🎉

📖 History of Springfield Mills 📖

The History of Springfield Mills is a fascinating one and we are lucky to have quite a few written and pictorial records of what the Mills were like in the 19th and early 20th Century.

An excerpt from the Gentleman's Review written in 1909 reads:

“We are compelled to pay a warm tribute to the mills and their equipment. Everything that enterprise can suggest and capital provide to produce the best results met our eyes at every turn”

Today the Mills is still home to many wonderful businesses of all shapes and sizes. Carrying on this tradition of local enterprise!
