Story:-

3 staff, 4 parents, 3 days and 310 miles from Hopton on Sea to Hopton Mirfield. An epic journey made by 7 slightly bonkers adults on behalf of our children!

Our children deserve to have the resources they need to achieve and be successful. They are wonderful and hardworking, but have to make do with worn out and old equipment. Some of you may have seen Kennedy floating around the workshops or in the office, she's had some fantastic news this week - after 3 years of studying she's completed her Level 3 Motor Vehicle qualification, so a huge congratulations from all of us here! Kennedy has a keen interest in cars as she was brought up around them from a very early age. Now, at 20 years old, she is now ready to take on the challenges that some of these older Porsche vehicles can bring. She loves off-roading in her spare time and is looking forward to many years ahead with Revolution Porsche, working with the team and gaining that extra special knowledge you can only get whilst working with the more experienced guys. She's never afraid of getting her hands dirty and has already established herself as an important member of the team.

Look who's rocked up today with a project for us to get our teeth into - they'll be filming here all week and we look forward to seeing it broadcasted later down the line.

Finding someone to carry out PDK transmission repairs is notoriously difficult.. not only because of the lack of information available but also the parts and the tools required to strip and rebuild. Here at Revolution Porsche Specialists our knowledge is continually growing and now we can carry out, in-house, the increasingly common issues that we are starting to see with these gearboxes... This 718 couldn't select any gear and had multiple faults related to the 5v line..

Usually at the dealers they'll sting you for a new/exchange PDK box..

Had a 92A Diesel Cayenne recovered in - unable to start. We were unable to communicate with the DME ecu. Found a blown fuse - still wouldn't communicate, opened DME suspecting our worst fear...- called customer and found out a booster pack had been used to try and start the car after the battery had gone flat. BE VERY CAREFUL when using booster packs... even when you connect the correct way round you can still cause a spike.

New DME fitted and coded.. all good again.

On the serious side - these little creatures can and will cause havoc with your electrical systems.. if you start smelling that distinct smell of urine or see any rodent droppings anywhere near your vehicle.. get it checked out.

This 986 owner has been fairly lucky (so far) just a few chewed panels as Stu made a comfy bed for himself. But there was a distinct smell coming from within the vehicle, especially when the A/C was on. The cabin filter and housing was destroyed.

Antony (getting his hands dirty for a change) is on with replacing the timing chains and guides on this 2015 3.0 E-Hybrid Cayenne.

The man working here is younger than the car and the machine he's working with - one of the rare, great examples of the next generation of proper mechanics.

This is an interesting one... 996 with a persistent misfire.

Norbert was having to battle away with 10 of the 11 seized/snapped bolts on this Panamera tiptronoc sump. Unfortunately (mainly for us) more and more of these are causing problems with the age and state of the Britiah roads and weather. What is a relatively simple.job (Transmission fluid and filter change) turns into a headache. Good job Norbert is good with a drill and tap.Wouldnt be so bad if Porsche had reduced the Tiptronic oil change interval a bit - but as usual, they never worry about anything that needs doing AFTER the manufacturer warranty expires 😆

Christiaan is working on this splendid 1981 3.0 911.. giving it a major service, plugs and refreshing the fuel lines along with a few other little jobs.

Macan Turbo in for, fuel flap module, timing chain cover leaks and water pump..

Always nice when our lovely customers show their appreciation for the hard work we put in. John was so giddy when he left with his 997 - when we saw him coming back up the drive 10 mins later our moods dropped, wondering what could be wrong.. then he hops out of his car with these goodies. Video in the comments for those who wanted to hear/see it running from the last post.

Maciej finishing his latest 997 engine build off. New sleeves, pistons, bearings, chains and guides etc heads skimmed and tested - lots of suspension and coolant pipe work gone on too - I'm sure the customer.will be pleased with the final result whe. He collects.

New signs fitted today..

The start of the next 997 3.8 rebuild.. hopefully will be back in the car and running very shortly..

One of our customers (Paul) sent me this fantastic photo from his 2000 mile trip he's doing from Yorkshire to the French Alps, then Swiss Alps back via Reims in Champagne.. he dropped in for a health check before he left and has happily updated me from this location to say all is perfect with his 997.. not jealous at all!!

This 2018 Macan GTS is in for a couple of oil leaks from the timing chain and rocker cover gaskets.. Norbert is the one enjoying this one today .
