Our Story
Founded in 1975, Moda in Pelle - Italian for ‘fashion in leather’ - has been crafting beautiful shoes for over 40 years. Since then, we’ve been combining British sophistication with fine Italian quality and gorgeous leathers in a range of stunning shoes, bags and accessories.
Moda in Pelle began life in Leeds, Yorkshire. Owner and founder Stephen Buck and his father opened the first Moda in Pelle store in 1975 on Leeds’ Bond Street, selling fine women’s goods crafted in Italian leather for the discerning customer. Over 40 years later, our head offices are still based in Leeds, and we’re proud of our Yorkshire heritage.
We believe in creating fashionable footwear that combines affordable luxury, stunning design, and complete comfort for our customers. Quality and service are paramount to us, alongside creative vision and a determination to continue innovating and creating amazing shoes.
We have over 40 retail stores and concessions across the UK, a strong online presence and independent stockists across the country, so you can find the perfect pair of shoes wherever you may be.
