The Maine Farmers' Almanac definition of a Blue Moon is that it's the third full Moon in a quarterly season of four full Moons.
This is an astronomical seasonal blue moon and the definition used by most astronomers.
An astronomical season is the period of time between a solstice and an equinox
In the northern hemisphere, summer solstice (around 20-22 June) marks the start of astronomical summer.
Three months later, autumn equinox (around 21-23 September) marks the start of astronomical autumn. Within that time, usually we would see three full Moons.

The informal definition..
We normally see 12 full Moons a year, with each calendar month having one full
Moon.
But our monthly calendar, based on Earth's orbit around the Sun, doesn't neatly match with the lunar cycle, and so some years we have 13 full Moons

💫 'Clear the way for Abundance' ritual 💫

On the 1st of every month.. Grab some sea salt (it needs to be sea salt not table salt) and ground cinnamon, then go and stand with your back to the inside of the front door to your home.

Take a small amount of sea salt and place it in the palm of your right/giving hand and say these words... As I blow this salt into this space may it safely and properly remove all hindrances and obstacles that are in my way. Now blow the salt off your hand.

Next take a small amount of cinnamon and place it in the palm of your left/receiving hand and say these words... As I blow this cinnamon into this space may it sweetly and lovingly attract all Abundance, Prosperity, Happiness, Opportunity and Success into my space. And blow the cinnamon off your hand.

You can do this at any time of the day but do it on the 1st.. Leave the salt and cinnamon where it is for 24hrs before you sweep it up.

Please take care in doing this if you have pets.. Even though a tiny amount is used, small dogs and cats can be sensitive to cinnamon and may cause skin or digestive irritations.

Today represents the longest day light hours in a 24 hour period. The summer solstice marks the beginning of summer and the days slowly starting to get shorter and the nights longer, until we reach the winter solstice in December 2024. ❄️

The actual moment of the summer solstice will occur is 9:51pm, however most people will concentrate on the whole solstice day, which has been recognised by rituals and festivals in many cultures all over the world. 🎊

The UK gets to enjoy over 16 hours of daylight on the longest day, with the sun rising at 4.41am and setting at 9.32pm. 🌅

It's a great time to reflect and show gratitude for the days that have past.
