Sorry for the absence everyone, we have been poorly and are still getting over it.
With this comes the isolation period you have to have so you don't pass on any germs, and to be honest it's where I really start to struggle with my mental health, no more play groups or coffee dates with friends, just time at home trying to recover. You realise how much you rely routine and how much it benefits you physically and mentally.
But today I've told myself I need to get motivated whether that's doing bit of house work or a little self care, just the little things that perk me up. It's nearly spring so that's something to look forward to...sunnier days and warmer weather....hopefully🤞

Did you know that Lavender has healing properties...
When I started to feel well enough to go to the shops I stocked up on lavender oil, room sprays, bath oils etc, anything I could get my hands on that contained Lavender, I still use it now, occasionally I light an insence stick - not something I recommend doing often because of the chemicals.
At first I was sceptical about a few things I read about, but I already loved the smell of Lavender so started off burning some candles, I felt the benefits straight away, I found it really relaxing, it seemed to just chill me out, which is useful when you suffer with anxiety!
Have a go, if you don't have any Lavender in, start off with a candle, you might find it helps you to relax too 💜

Apart from the disruption it can cause are you a fan of the snow? Some people actually have a fear of snow, so today they might really struggle, it sure is coming down fast, if it's a day at home keep your self occupied and if you really don't like the snow, then shut the curtains and try and put your attention towards something else.
I like the snow, however I sometimes start to get anxious if it doesn't look like it's going to stop. I think I'd probably be better outside in it then watching it from inside the house! But today is a day at home, we did the food shop yesterday so there's no need for us to go out, hopefully it will clear in time for the weekend!

I'm just glad the sun is shining, there's still a nip in the air but atleast it isn't raining!
So last night my little boy woke me at 3 and was hyperactive until 8:30 when he decided to go down for an hours nap.
We missed play group, I'm feeling worse for wear as last night was a late one catching up on programs! And my two dogs are driving me nuts because they want 'walkies'
So I think I need some self care, and we definitely need to get out of the house for a bit wherever that may be.
I hope you all had a better night than me and are feeling good and positive today, do something for you if you can 😊 x
