☀️A year ago, we commissioned this 10.1kWp @solaredgepv system in Nanpantan, Loughborough. The results? 90% reliance on solar and battery storage 🔋 3960kWh exported back to the grid at 15p per kWh 💰 1164kg of CO2 emissions saved 🌍 As we transition from oil and gas to a greater reliance on electricity, our appliances and heating sources will predominantly depend on electric power, which will inevitably affect our bills. To prepare for this shift, we often install larger solar systems that future-proof our clients’ properties, ensuring they have the capacity to support the increasing demand of electric vehicles, heat pumps and more 🌳☀️

🌨️🥶This project from last year was unique! We integrated a brand new solar and battery storage system into a property already powered by an existing solar array. Through the flexibility of @solaredgepv , we seamlessly incorporated the old system into the new without needing to replace any equipment. The newly installed 10kW battery can still be charged by the old panels, maximising efficiency and energy storage. We installed old and new @trinasolareurope panels across a flat roof using the @vandervalksolarsystems system and an on-roof @clenergyclub system supplied by @yesss_electrical , all perfectly finished with sleek black @solaskirt . Our client will continue to benefit from the 25-year feed-in tariff incentive from 13 years ago despite the upgrades, while also keeping their generation on the property through the new battery. We’re seeing a growing trend among those who invested in solar years ago: they’re now opting for retrospective battery installations to maximise their self-consumption. It’s more cost-effective than ever to store your energy on-site in batteries rather than sending it back to the grid. 🔋🌳
