The Ibach has landed! I’ll surely miss playing this piano but I’m really happy that it has found a new home where I’m sure it’ll be enjoyed for many more years. It’s new name in George (as the piano was manufactured in 1984 I’ll leave you to put two and two together). Thank-you to the new owners who were lovely to meet and very generous to send a video in. One of the best bits about my job is getting pianos come in that have huge sentimental value attached to them. They come in, often looking tired and in need of some refurbishment and refinement. This piano was sent in to be refinished to suit a more modern decor, and I’ve also managed to free up some of the sticking keys and get it sounding just as they remember it all them years ago. 🎹

This piano was sent in by a customer that bought privately on marketplace because it was cheaper for them. They were in for a shock when the piano finally arrived in a condition that looked completely different from the photos. Just be aware that you’re always at risk buying privately than from a trusted dealership 🎹 at least they’ll have a nice piano now for Christmas 🎄😊

It’s not very often I get a small piano sent in for refurbishing! This little Barratt&Robinson was looking and sounding tired after years of enjoyment. Its time to bring that back; the piano that now looks and sounds a million times better and has a very happy family to go back to 🎹 (Ignore the trousers and shoes they’re my painting wear😝)
