This was going to be a little project for my client.
Now I am not going to encourage people to make their own resin pieces but I was willing to help and give a bit of advice, so I went through the basics of creating a resin table....
I didn't get past what making the molds involved before he decided that it might be better for me to make it for him.
So that's what happened...
Then he arrived with a couple more bits for a coffee and console table.
That's a few weeks ago and out of the blue he has sent me his pieces in-situ.
It's a small thing but I know if clients are taking the time to do that, they are proud of them.
Not sure if there is a better form of praise.
That'll do for me...

A lovely couple of tables comprising of a 3/4 seater round and 4/6 seater live edge.
These tables are both from a single slab of Ash with beautiful grain and some grey resin highlights.
They are in their new home at and are looking great.

This beautiful Hand made Solid Elm table is currently in stock and looking for a home.
At 3mtr x 1.25mtr it seats 12 adults in comfort.
To add to the unique look of this table, there are 2 optional benches available that follow the same sinuous curves of the table.
Hand made from Elm and finished with a Bronze resin this table will be a superb addition to any kitchen.
This piece comes with a choice of legs furniture and is available for immediate delivery.

Solid Oak takes some beating for a dining table but look at this beauty....
Hand made from a slab with a nice mix of finished and live edges, it is finished with coffee resin.
This piece is 2.4mtrs long and over 1mtr wide to seat 8/10 people.
The grain patterns and knot features in this table really are something to behold, pictures do not do it justice....

Now most of my tables are large enough to seat 8 people but not everyone has the space for a large table.
This is a compact but no less awesome 1mtr diameter, 2/4 seat dining table.
Handmade from a stunning Beech slab from and a grey tinted resin, this table is a stunner.
It is neat enough to fit into virtually any eating space and will give it's owner a completely different outlook on meal times.

My latest table is a bit special.
Handmade from Irish Elm, this table is 10' x 4' (3m x 1.25m) and will seat 14 people comfortably.
Created from consecutive slabs, this graceful form gives the beauty of a natural live edge whilst having just enough offset to create an interesting and comfortable seating position.
One or two full length benches which follow the exact curves of the table make this a singularly unique piece which would grace any home.

I have these amazing pieces of Elm to create a dining table with.
The finished table will be anything up to 10ft(3m) long by either 4ft(1.25m with 3 strips) or 5ft(1.6m with 4 strips) wide.
The live edges are very subtle and the lines are gorgeous.
I have in mind the bronze powder coated stand shown to accompany it.

This was to be a DIY project but the client decided to use me after taking some advice.

This is a lovely little job that had to go to England which called for 3 hours driving to and from Dublin, 7 hours sailing to and from Holyhead and 10 hours driving to and from Gloucester.
Still, I am sure the new owner will pay the bill promptly.....
Daughters are good like that, aren't they??

Busy week...
This a gorgeous live edge 12 seat Ash dining table with 2 half benches and a couple of centre islands from the offcuts.
Literally not enough waste to start a campfire which is perfect.
These pieces have very little resin as it simply wasn't required, the wood does all the talking.
Stunning hand made, bespoke dining set that will last a lifetime.

The problem with a hand made, bespoke 6 ft dia dining table (other than table envy from your family and friends) is that it's a bit of a reach to the centre.
This can make sharing a bottle a bit tricky.
The solution though is simple enough.

This Beech table was looking a bit worse for wear when it came into the studio.
It had a bow tie that was not the best, quite a lot of dents and scrapes from use and had been varnished with very heavy coats.
Sooooo, the bow tie has been scalloped out to create a resin feature, a new corner has been added to give it a more contemporary feel, all the scrapes and areas of deadwood have been filled and it is finished with oil.
It now looks and very importantly, feels like a piece of art you can eat your dinner off.😊
