QUBQcon 2023
FAMILY REUNION!!!!! SO MANY HUGS! On the whole it was a very different experience for me. For the first time in 10 years of attending the con, I barely went into the buildings.
Instead I had the wonderful experience of seeing Qcon from a different perspective- Dannisaur's. No panels needed, no events, no games, just watching the colourful people go by from a chill perspective far from the noise, free to rest run or whatever.
While it's not what I'm used to, it was lovely to downshift and experience it from her preferred speed!

Akazukin Chacha is the story of a young magical girl named Chacha. She lives in a cottage on Mochi-mochi Mountain with Seravy, her guardian and teacher, who is the world's greatest magician. Chacha is clumsy in casting her spells, frequently mistaking homonyms, such as summoning spiders (kumo (蜘蛛) in Japanese) instead of a cloud (also kumo (雲)). When she and her friends are in trouble, however, her spells do work. Living on the same mountain is a boy named Riiya, gifted with enormous strength, who comes from a family of werewolves. Far away from Mochi-mochi Mountain is Urizuri Mountain where Dorothy, a well known magician that has a past with Seravy, lives in a castle with her student, Shiine. Shiine is a young wizard, who is adept at casting spells and barriers, as well as transformations.

Qcon.
What to say. It's been a long 4 years since I last did artists alley but I'm so glad to say it'll be on my yearly calendar again forever.
So many familliar faces, old friends, new friends, so so many smiles.
You all inflated my ego this year, my budding makeup skills thank you!
Even with the massive issue of £400 worth of merch never arriving, I still managed to make back all costs and will be treating my copics to refills and investing in a blue sketch pencil.
I don't have enough words to say a big enough thank you.

Android 18 (人造人間１８号 ), originally named Lazuli (ラズリ) when she was an ordinary human, is the older twin sister of Android 17 and Dr. Gero's eighteenth android creation, designed to serve Gero's vendetta against Goku. While her interests do not initially deviate from this expectation, her curiosity to activate Android 16, in spite of Gero's orders not to do so, leads Android 17 to take it upon himself to murder Gero. Launch (ランチ Ranchi, lit. "Lunch") is a woman with a strange disorder which causes her to switch between two different personalities each time she sneezes. Her first personality is a blue-haired woman, who is sweet, pure-hearted and cheerful and always ready to help. Her other personality is a blonde-haired woman, who is angry and trigger-happy and commits crimes for money and is quick to respond with gunfire when angered. Neither of Launch's personalities remembers the other's actions or anything they said, that is until the King Piccolo arc, which is evident when she remembers who Krillin was when he died.

In keeping with the name puns of Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, her name is an anagram of 'Devil'; since her father's original Japanese name is Mr. Satan (Hercule in edited dub and in Viz's censored manga, giving it the "A for all ages" label). She's Gohan's wife, and the mother of Pan.

From Freak to Free
My journey as a commission artist started in a very dark part of my life, newly out of an abusive relationship, I didn’t know who I was, I felt worthless.
It all started when someone saw me drawing and asked if I would draw them something, and they were so happu with it, they insisted on compensating me. Over time, this happened more and more, and I saw my drawings make people smile. They talked to me while they watched me draw, I’d see their faces squint and when I asked if there were any changes could be made, they lit up again and the smiles became bigger when the issue was fixed.
People online were asking me to draw their favourite singers, switching up costumes, drawing their OTP, drawing themselves as their favourite characters.
I went to events where I helped other people get over the “I can’t draw” hump, I saw more smiles. People would come to my table at events and say how they wished they could draw like me, I’d tell them all it takes is practice and then the same people would come back the next year and give me a drawing. I had found myself and was helping others find themselves!!
From the success others gave me, I wanted to give back. Requests, shoutouts and giveaways became a huge part of that. I remembered having no drawing supplies, not having money to help me get a concept into a design. I wanted to lift up the others. A huge part of my free time was finding new artists and giving them the boosts they needed to keep working.
