In continuation from our posts last year we would like to introduce you to another member of our team. Meet our Head of Design, Richard Hunston.

Over the last 20+ years Richard has worked in some of Northern Ireland’s top Design and Advertising Agencies including AV Browne, Genesis and Mammoth.

Richard’s main ambition is to be the first person to develop lightsaber technology, but until then, he’s content putting his creative skills to designing attention-grabbing branding and cut-through advertising campaigns.

As we wind down for Christmas we would like to thank everyone we have worked with this year and wish everyone in our network a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

We will be back on the 2nd of January showcasing more growth and driving to help your business fulfil its potential in 2024.

Its our final working week of 2023! So before we sign off for Christmas we thought we would introduce you all to the newest member of our team, our Commercial Manager Ben Dawson.

After a career change in 2019, ben started in sales before moving into recruitment. After 3 years in the recruitment industry, he is thrilled to be starting a new journey in the world of branding and marketing.

Ben comes from a musical background playing Trumpet as a professional musician with the likes of the Ulster Orchestra all the way to West End shows and tours!

He is a keen cold water swimmer and golfer, but number one in his life is his beautiful family.

He is raring to go in 2024, Merry Christmas!

Cross are one of UK & Ireland’s most visionary fruit ripening technology companies, with a worldwide customer base. They have been designing and installing specialist temperature controlled engineering solutions for more than 60 years.

They recently partnered with ICON to develop the new Cross Ripe brand, brochure and exhibition materials for the 90th National Fruit Show.

Having launched their new website this year, we are looking forward to continuing to help them grow in 2024!

After an extremely successful 2023 and big plans for 2024, we'd love to introduce you to the talented bunch of creatives, developers and account managers that make up team Icon.

First up is Oskar. He is one of our web developers, who has been with us for nearly 4 years. Working on projects for clients such as Greentown Co. and NI Property Girl he loves nothing more than coding beautiful and highly effective websites.

Outside of work he is a ninja in training! Having recently competed in the All Ireland Judo Championships in Dublin, he is hoping to break into the Ireland training squad next year. We're all cheering him on for his competitions in 2024!!

We're super excited to see 2 of our clients, Weev and Fibrus shortlisted for FAST GROWTH BUSINESS OF THE YEAR in the Business Eye Magazine Northern Ireland Awards 2023! Weev have also been shortlisted for GREEN/SUSTAINABLE COMPANY OF THE YEAR!

We are looking for a senior-level, full-stack software developer to join our web team!

The Role:
We're looking for a Full Stack PHP Developer to join the web team in our busy Lisburn studio.

Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of industry experience.
3+ years of experience working with Laravel or similar PHP frameworks.
Integration of 3rd party APIs and software into projects.
Strong knowledge of MySQL.
Solid ability to solve problems, come up with workable solutions and debugging skills.
Understanding fundamentals of object-orientated programming.
Experience with modern frontend technologies (Vue.js, Tailwind).
Proficient understanding of GIT and version control tools within a team environment.
Fluent in spoken and written English.

Desired Skills & Experience:
Previous agency experience is highly desired.
Experience working in an agile.
Understanding of an API-first development approach.
Experience with Laravel-related ecosystems.
Experience with modern WordPress (Bedrock).
Experience optimising codebases and SQL queries.
