After removing a tiled surface this client needed some repair work and a fresh coat of skim ready for a new look 👌🏼

High ceilings in this property called for a deck. Love skimming ceilings off a deck.

A little bit of joinery on the cards this week, looking forward to getting my teeth into this project.

Last one from this lovely summer house / garage conversion by That ceiling joist detail looked fantastic but took plenty of sweat and a couple of tears to get there. The section above the roller doors 🤯 took me back to my apprentice days skimming in fiddly little spaces every day.

Need an apprentice for these little repair jobs, spend half the day waiting for things to dry.

Another hack off, re-board and skim so this client can decorate.

I’m not gona lie this one was fiddly from start to finish. Removed a tongue and groove, dropped ceiling. Removed splash back wall tiles all around. Made good on all loose plaster and a full skim. Felt like I moved the oven and washing machine more than a Curry’s delivery man.

When the window doesn’t fit, make the wall fit the window 😉

It’s with great sadness I announce the death of my Makita UK LXT 18v combi drill. She’s been an absolute warrior, lasted 14 years and both batteries and charger are still going strong 👏🏼 superb value for money.

New team members this week 150mm & 250mm sorted me right out finishing some narrow sections around kitchen cupboards. The little fella is amazing for working around sockets. Highly recommended and the German engineering is 👌🏼

First wall done for over the weekend on a lovely garage conversion.

If you’re going to build one of these they’re more complicated than they look to get right. Follow some simple steps and it should be smooth sailing.

1. Use a proper Joiner.
2. Leave the plaster-boarding to the plasterer.
3. Always allow an additional 15mm on each side / top & bottom of openings for plasterboard and plaster.
4. Remember you have to lift the tv to fit or remove from the bracket. Allow enough clearance on your opening size.

If you follow those easy steps it’ll save you having any issues.
