Your business has how many employees?

On average producing twelve tonnes of carbon each year.

What can you do together to challenge the ‘norm’ and reduce carbon both in the workplace and outside of work?

Is it really our children we need to educate about climate action to help save the future of our planet? Perhaps we need to listen to them!

Every business employs people and those people matter…….you can’t bury your head in the sand on this one.

A business doesn’t have to make major changes from today but does need to take action, for our future generations.

What does that action look like for your business?

A business will create opportunities when they become climate aware.

These include efficiencies, saving money, engaging their workforce and all while contributing positively towards achieving net zero.

It starts with the business owner and engaging further in to their workplace, community and beyond.

Get everyone in your business involved and be proud of making the change together. Tell people and help them to do the same.

Every business has people working within it. Everyone of these people has their own carbon footprint.

As a business how can you incentivise your people to be conscious of their carbon footbprint and make changes to reduce it.

Make them aware in the first instance by participating in footprint survey.

Then look at campaigns and initiatives in your business to encourage carbon reduction.

Carbon reduction isn’t just about the big producers being more efficient and making changes, it is about each and everyone of us making them for the long term.

Reducing your consumption when travelling, eating, buying clothing, use of materials when renovating, buying from abroad……..the list goes on and on.

Businesses have to use their platform as a way of educating their people about reducing consumption, making it their norm.

So this is what one tonne of CO2 looks like. The world produces over 40 billion tonnes a year.

Yes we have reduced emissions by nearly 50% since 1990 but we have got to be quicker at reaching net zero.

Every business everywhere can make 2-3 small changes in their business to contribute to the reduction of this ginormous number!

Company partners with global firm Chester-based Be Ethical Training has teamed up with CSR-Accreditation to help businesses operate with "responsibility at the forefront of their decision making".
