🙁 Mummy Powder 🙁
From the 12th through the 17th century, any European apothecary worth his smelling salts kept a supply of mummy powder on hand. Mummy was the health food of the Middle Ages, guaranteed to cure everything from headaches to stomach ulcers, and plasters made from mummy powder were often slathered over tumors. Humans weren't the only beings alleged to benefit from mummy; sick hawks were thought to benefit from their own grade of mummy powder. The demand for mummified far outweighed the supply; one couldn't just walk up to a pyramid-shaped rock and start digging. One could, however, dig up some dead and desiccated bodies, grind them down, and sell them as "mummy powder." It's doubtful anyone ever noticed the difference.
What's particularly interesting about the mummy powder remedy is that the entire fad might have arisen from a misunderstanding. Naturally occurring bitumen from the Dead Sea was a commonly prescribed medication in ancient times for all sorts of ailments: cataracts, leprosy, gout, dysentery, clotted blood, shortness of breath, rheumatoid arthritis. The Persian word for wax, mumia, was often used to describe bitumen, and it's from that same word that we derive our word "mummy." Mumia also refers to another substance (which was not bitumen) that was used in the embalming of mummies. When apothecaries were not able to obtain naturally occurring bitumen (mumia, they sometimes turned to this false bitumen (also mumia), which they supposedly obtained from ground-up mummies. Eventually conventional wisdom held that it was the mummy itself, not the substance used in its embalming, that contained the medicinal qualities. In medical treatises, the words "mumia" and "mummy," became synonymous.

Ina walked along the road looking for a place she would place her CV, she's very hungry and tired, yet she really needs a job badly, how would she survive in this harsh world without a job, she thought as she sat down looking at a sign board where house helps were needed, one mind told her to immediately collect the number but another mind told her not to " hell no, I'm a fist class degree graduate, I'm not going lower my pride just to work as a house maid, hell no I'm not" she said as she gets up and starts walking, she walked for some few hours and broke down into tears in front of a super market she was so hungry, yet she couldn't buy any food, the only money she had was to buy food for her son Henry, she got Henry when she was only fifteen years old for her useless boyfriend who ran away after learning she was pregnant, now she's twenty five and Henry is 10 years old and life without a job wasn't helping matters at all. She got home and sat down on the sofa " welcome mom" Henry said as she smiled " here, manage this for dinner" she said handing him some sandwiches as he took them " won't you have a bite?" He asked as he nods her head in negative as he goes into his room to eat. Afternoon putting henry to bed she went into her room to sleep, she slept for some hours but the hunger was way too much, she got up rushing into the kitchen to find an empty refrigerator, the first thought that came into her mind was the house help job she saw as she carry a flash light to go outside. She stood outside looking from left to right as she decides to go back in it's too dark to go out, what if she gets r**e, then another bundle of responsibility on her head again " hell no" she shouted as she ran back into the house locking the doors. The sound of the c**k came with pleasure for Ina, she had a dream where she ate so many Fred chickens as she wanted " I'm I a witch now?, Hell no" she said shaking her head

I had spent an hour in the bank with my dad, as he had to transfer some money. I couldn't resist myself & asked...

'Why would I do that?'' He asked...
''Well, then you won't have to spend an hour here for things like transfering.
You can even do your shopping online. Everything will be so easy!''
I was so excited about initiating him into the world of Net banking.

He asked ''If I do that, I won't have to step out of the house?
''Yes, yes''! I said. I told him how even grocery can be delivered at door now and how amazon delivers everything!

His answer left me tongue-tied.
He said ''Since I entered this bank today, I have met four of my friends, I have chatted a while with the staff who knows me very well by now.
You know I am alone...this is the company that I need. I like to get ready and come to the bank. I have enough time, it is the physical touch that I crave.

Two years back I got sick, The store owner from whom I buy fruits, came to see me and sat by my bedside and cried.
When your Mom fell down few days back while on her morning walk. Our local grocer saw her and immediately got his car to rush her home as he knows where I live.

Would I have that 'human' touch if everything became online?
Why would I want everything delivered to me and force me to interact with just my computer?

I like to know the person that I'm dealing with and not just the 'seller'. It creates bonds of Relationships.

The woman🙍🏽‍♀️doesn’t know that there is a stone crushing the man.
The woman 🙎🏼‍♀️thinks: “I am going to fall! And I can’t climb because the snake 🐍is going to bite me! Why can’t the man 🧔🏼use a little more strength and pull me up!” The man 🧑🏾‍🦲thinks: “I am in so much pain! Yet I’m still pulling you as much as I can! Why don’t you try and climb a little harder!?”
The moral is— you can’t see the pressure the other person is under, and the other person can’t see the pain you’re in.
This is life, whether it’s with work, family, feelings or friends, we should try to understand each other.
Learn to think differently, perhaps more clearly and communicate better. A little thought and patience goes a long way.
