An Interview With Njord by Bergman Design House: M/Y Galaxy Refit - Superyacht Content Following news of Njord by Bergman Design House helming Benetti Galaxy's refit, we wanted to find out more from co-founder, Sarah Colbon.

Seen and featured by Like many ocean-obsessed-experience-seekers, Dave Hagewood and Danielle Hill became hooked on the superyacht lifestyle as soon as they started chartering yachts in the Mediterranean and Caribbean. But once they got a taste of the luxury, mobility, and the ability to enjoy exclusive adventures with their tight group of family and friends that large yachts provide, they soon realized that chartering would never be enough. They needed to own a yacht that would reflect their unique tastes and desires that they and their community could live an aboard for as long as they wanted.
And lucky for them, design experts Marie Soliman- Berglund, Albin Berglund and Sarah Colbon of did way more than just “refresh” the interior of the pretty conventional 184-foot-long, 2005 they found. In fact, Hagewood’s newly relaunched Galaxy is the ultra-luxe-Burning Man-inspired, superyacht spaceship the young, first-time superyacht owner always knew he wanted. Full story in the bio. 📸

Njord by Bergman Design House philosophy is to create environments for their clients that are shaped by the future, rooted in today’s reality, therefore making it relevant tomorrow.

Sarah Colbon and Marie Soliman - Berglund approach is forward-thinking, unique and different. They have disrupted with respect the old rule book of how things were done in yachting and applied their years of experience and ethos as a company to collaborate and make design an experience again.

They did conversion alternate-universe interior for 56m Benetti M/Y Galaxy. The main salon of the yacht became a fantasyland, a space ship inspired by the owners vision and passion for entertainment. It can be functional as a nightclub, private lounge or cinema room. Another recent work is the conversion of the supply ship Cassius.  

At the Experiential Yachting Forum Sarah and Marie will speak about converting yachts by purpose of use and wide range of experiences.

We were honoured to sponsor and support this weekend in Southampton, raising much needed funds to support some incredible charities. The event was attended by over 500 yachting industry professionals, friends and families. The superyacht industry came together to raise over £80,000 for the not for profit charities and also to send much needed medical supplies to the front line in Ukraine. Thank you the chairman all the trustees and everyone who organised a fantastic event. See you next year….

Behind the scenes photos of project Galaxy refit in La Ciotat, Albin and Sarah supervising every step of the project with our incredible crew and team at Monaco Marine. 5 months to do a full interior refit and exterior paint and new styling was intense to say the least; but it was done! Not only efficiently and effectively because of the tightness of our team but because we all had one goal; the clients vision becoming a reality and delivering the highest quality service whilst gifting Galaxy a new lease of life…

Galaxy is a marvel and as we quoted to Rachel, she is now been given a new lease of life for her new journey ahead, one where now her owners feel more at home and can enjoy every aspect of their lifestyle onboard.
