Thanks so much for following me. My name is Harriet, I’m 34 weeks pregnant with my second. I’m a pregnancy yoga & birth preparation teacher 🙏🏼 I’m also a photographer which I do alongside all of this, trying my best to move away from that industry and into this full time so I can support my family from home.
I set up The Yogi Bump in 2020 so pregnant people could still practise yoga together online. I created on-demand wellness packs which are suitable for pregnancy & beyond. I also run live wellness classes. Currently offering a birth preparation class every Monday @ 9:30am - 10:45am until this little nugget comes along.

On this full moon get out of your head and into your body. Release all of that stored up energy 🌕
Get your pillows, cushions & blankets at the ready ⭐️ Carol-Ann is teaching a lovely online pregnancy restorative class for us tomorrow (Tuesday) .
Relax & restore and give yourself this time to tune inwards, let go of anything that isn’t serving you and your pregnancy.
⭐️ PREGNANCY TIP ⭐️
To help your growing baby and body you will find that you will naturally want to alter the way you sit. You might find that there isn’t enough room in the rib cage and pelvis to sit directly on the floor.
⭐️ Sit on a couple of cushions/block so your sat on more height
⭐️Kneel on rolled up pillows/bolster
⭐️Sit on a birth ball (this is the best one I find)
Will release a reel about this soon so you have visuals on safe ways to sit during pregnancy that won’t aggravate your back ❤️

Be mindful today ❤️ Tune into your breath, where is your breath sitting in the body? Notice the quality of your breath. Is it long or short? Fast or slow?

The best way to prepare for birth with yoga is to encounter the movements with curiosity, enjoy your body’s responses and also learn to recognise which poses are more comfortable for you. This is the experience you take into the birth - Trust your body’s wisdom to know what is best for you and your baby. You will learn along your prenatal yoga journey that YOU ARE CAPABLE OF BIRTH ⭐️
⭐️ PREGNANCY TIP ⭐️
By practising lots of pelvic tilts and circles during pregnancy can create a positive bond between you and your baby. The pelvic movements also help to prep your pelvis for birth and also helps with sciatica and lower back pain 🙌🏻
