I know some business owners may think what is the point of management accounts ❓️They are the same as yearly accounts and how will I benefit?

1. What are management accounts❓️

A set of financial statements, prepared periodically, e.g. monthly, by using the information from your operations to produce reports that provide ongoing insight into business performance, such as profit margin and labour utilization, so you and your managers have data-driven input to make everyday decisions.

Statutory accounts are required by law and all private limited companies are required to prepare these at the end of each financial year, on the other side management accounts are not required by law but tend to be used internally to assist the business’ management and decision making. These types of accounts can also be supporting finance applications.

I know some of you may still not be sure about the benefits of preparing management accounts, so let me tell you the importance of these accounts for running your business operation or thinking to grow. Here we go.
