As a product I am very proud but as a career move…my heart is truly not in it anymore. I don’t like sitting behind a computer and I don’t like developing. I like people. Which is why…

I LOVE the retreats. I love bringing people together and planning to show people a new side of the world.

So I’m gifting this creation to the community with the hopes that it helps you on your journey to improving your skills. The pay wall has been disabled and it won’t be updated anytime in the near future.

Hey friends, Sojo here! I’m still living off the high of this years retreat. I feel so incredibly honored to have hosted three sold out retreats as well as a snowboarding retreat in February with amazing guest, coaches and host.

The planning of these retreats take a lot of work, talking to hundreds of people from vendors, to surf instructors, to building code assessors and resort staff.

I’ve still not decided if this will be the year we venture to a new country, as the skate floor itself needs to be really smooth for this type of retreat and I’ve not found exactly what I am looking for in the places I’ve considered. I take pride in watching people walk away with new skills and level up and all the elements have to be present for that to happen. (Supportive community, amazing coaches, well polished floor😃)

All this to say, I’m still planning, working and decided about next year and plan to launch registration in three weeks. One thing we do know for sure is the Nicaragua retreat is 100% happening, however we may have a smaller retreat opening for another country. (Still TBD)

Registration will open on August 1st. Booking will open for alumni on August 20th (for all retreats) and for the general public 7 days later :)

Year 2 - Retreat 4!

The feedback from this year’s retreat has been overwhelmingly positive, and we believe it’s because of the sincerity each coach and host brought to our team-building days. (And it’s actually a really big team.)

For our team-building days, the entire team—coaches, hosts, and organizers—lived under one roof for 3-4 days. This setup allowed us to get to know one another, recognize each other’s strengths and weaknesses, and learn when and for what we can really rely on one another.

We played several games of Not Really Strangers, partied like college kids, and cried our hearts out as we each shared and opened up to one another. On the last day before our 60-plus guests arrived, we did acro yoga, which involved so much trust! 😂

This year, we were able to bring in coaches from New Zealand, Dubai, Brazil, and the U.S.

The best feedback we received was from one of the guests who told Daan, “It’s been so amazing, I would have paid double, even triple, for this experience.”

Thank you all for showing up, bringing your unique energy and charisma, and flying from every corner of the earth to work with us. You were the best team in the world! It was an honor to work with you!

Most of our guest hit the waves for the first time at our retreat. More than half of these incredible women not only embraced the challenge but also stood UP and surfed the waves successfully.

Today’s the day! We have a brand new crew of retreaters landing at for round 2 of the ! Our skatepark coach whipped up a fun map to help familiarise the skaters with and highlight some of the key features and locations for the next weeks activities! And if you’re playing from home this will help you locate some of the stunning spots that we hit to skate, surf, stretch and more!

I don’t post too often on my personal page about my retreats but keen to find someone to help me out on my snowboarding retreat coming up in Park City Utah!

Details: Seeking a BIPOC yoga instructor for our Diversify the Mountain retreat at Park City. You'll teach yoga at 7 am from February 9-13, reside near Park City Resort, and assist in preparing "to go" breakfast as well as one dinner; our welcome dinner!

Compensation options include an hourly rate ($50 ph) or joining the retreat with all benefits, excluding the three-day lift pass.

Certified instructors with 100 hours are welcome to apply.

Formal interviews and contracts will be conducted.

the 70’s and I'm first generation, American born,
dual citizen of Iran.
I still have a lot of family that live in
Tehran, Iran. I've visited them my whole
life and will continue to do so.
I've shared with you about my Persian
culture, holidays/ celebrations and there is
so much more I want to share.
Although I want to continue highlighting
positive things about the country, there
are some unfortunate truths that need to
be shared as well.
Some of you may have already seen the protests currently
occurring in provinces across Iran. I want to use my platform to
help spread awareness and share the voices of Iranian people, who
are risking their lives for change.
I stand in solidarity with the women in Iran,
fighting for their basic rights and freedom.

Serious question that requires serious answers.
If were to put on a world tour, headlined by would you come!?! If so where would you want us to come. Do you want roll outs!? Workshops? Both?

I been thinking a lot about “advice.”
People come to me frequently for it which on one hand is flattering but on the other hand makes me feel a responsibility to know more than I do. Like I’m super aware that there’s so much I can’t speak to. Don’t have the answers to and am very much on a journey of understanding myself. With that being said there’s two pieces of advice that I have given 4 times this week and I feel like it’s worth mentioning publicly because they are two of my strongest convictions. The first isn’t my own (it’s from Oprah.)
1. You can’t be friends with people who want your life. The only friends we need in our lives are those who cheer us on in our good times and cheer even louder in our bad. That’s the only kind of friend I think it’s worth being and it’s the only friend worth having.
Never EVER take advice from unhappy people. Someone can be sad, or momentarily unhappy but if their outlook on life is always negative, doubtful, paranoid or nothing is ever good enough...be sure to seek counsel elsewhere. The problem is, we often turn to these negative people looking for confirmation bias- when our world gets turned upside down, who else better to explain - seemingly armed and ready to project their negative life experiences on what most likely is only be a moment in time for you. Listen y’all that’s all I know.

I only like you a little bit. Don’t worry though cause my little bit is everyone else’s a lot. 🙏😂

How very “on brand” for and I to adopt bonded kittens in 🇳🇮 .
I just want to say that no greater lie has ever been told than the one about us “fostering” for two weeks. ..I’m not saying we told the lie Marlie nor am I saying we told it but ...from beginning we all knew how this thing was going to end.

3 months later, these babies aren’t such babies anymore and are finally American citizens (even before Daan lol) and just as much in love with each other, as they are with Daan!) The cutest thing about this entire thing is how much I wanted a cat and how much they prefer Daan and how much Daan said he didn’t like cats but literally wakes up in the middle of the night to pull them closer to him. He gives them more kisses a day than me. ❤️🙏😻
