Three years ago, when I embarked on the journey of starting my massage business in a new country, it was a real challenge to juggle the demands of work while also carving out moments for joy and self-care in my life. 🌱
Trust me, I tried to squeeze in a bit of “me time” whenever possible, but it always seemed like it wasn’t enough. 😅 I believed that to build a successful business, I needed to be available for my clients 24/7 - be it early Sunday mornings, late Friday nights, or even during bank holidays. Yes, I was that committed!

However, there came a point where I was on the brink of burnout, and I realise something had to change🔄
I decided to take a leap of faith, prioritising my happiness and well-being, even if it meant earning a bit less. And guess what? It turned out to be the best decision ever! 🎉 My clients were super understanding and respected my new boundaries. My schedule remained full, my finances were stable, and, most importantly, the quality of my treatments improved significantly because I had more energy and positivity to share 💖✨

To anyone out there feeling stuck in a similar situation, I see you and send you lots of love. ❤️ Remember, it’s possible to find a healthier balance and enjoy life more, one step at a time.

Pain relief through massage therapy is not a "one-size-fits-all" solution.Each person's body responds differently to massage, so it is important to set realistic expectations. While it's possible to experience some pain relief after just one massage session, remember that massage is a process and that getting long-term relief from chronic pain may require multiple sessions. The goal of massage therapy is to improve your overall health and wellbeing, so it is important to approach it with an open mind and be patient with the results.

How long of a session do I need? This really depends on the person, and what their goals are for the session. 30 minutes- I personally don't do too many of these, but these are good if you just have one specific issue you want worked on. Such as tension headaches, crick in your neck, or back pains. Another reason to book a shorter session is sometime people can't handle or simply don't want to be on the table that long. 60 minutes- Probably what most of my schedule consist of. Great for a full body Swedish/relaxation massage, and also great for focusing on a few areas. A lot of my 60 minute sessions we typically work just upper body or lower body. 90 minutes- My personal favorite! It's the best if you're wanting a full body massage, but still have areas you want extra attention too. I also love incorporating stretching into my sessions, but with shorter sessions its not always possible. Most people who start getting 90 minute sessions never want to go back to 60 minutes!
