Friday night with Dinner & a Movie.... And a tribute to our National food, a scrumptious Souvlaki, Pittabun-style!! OMG! Who can resist of this extreme deliciousness! Enjoy you’re quarantine with a handmade, 100% Greek souvlaki, @pittabun style! #pittabunathome #souvlaki #funkygathome #nikosroussos To marinade pork neck Ingredients • 1.7kgr Pork neck cut into cubes, 100gr EVOO, 5 garlic cloves, lemon juice trained • dry & fresh oregano leaves Method 1. In a big bowl add all ingredients and marinate in the fridge for minimum of 3 hours. For the tzatziki Ingredients • 150gr cucumber + 3gr salt • 400gr Greek yoghurt, strained • 5gr table salt + 8gr garlic, minced • 0.5gr chili powder • 6gr white balsamic vinegar • 40gr EVOO Method 1. Grate cucumber and mix with 3gr of salt. Let it sit for 5’ and place in a clean towel and squeeze all liquid. 2. Make a paste with the minced garlic and the 5gr of salt. 3. In a bowl mix cucumber, garlic paste and rest of ingredients. Keep in the fridge for up to 2 days. To finish the Souvlaki PittaBun • Pocket pittas, Pittabun style • Pork neck skewers • Sliced Onions & tomatoes • Mixed fresh parsley and mint leaves, •Tzatziki Method 1. Wet skewers so they don’t burn and pass the meat. Make 120gr souvlaki each. 2. Grill them on a bbq or an a grilled pan. 3. Fill in PittaBuns with meat, Tzatziki, tomatoes, onions and fresh herbs.
