EVERYTHING IS RECORDED · SPRING EQUINOX
Maharishi celebrates the Spring Equinox with Everything is Recorded.
For the fourth and final session of this series, nine musicians gathered at the Copper House, to celebrate the beginning of spring. All except two of the guests had participated in an Everything Is Recorded Solstice/Equinox improvisation session before.
The first newcomer was high priestess of psychedelic Arabic jazz, Yazz Ahmed, who joined on trumpet. The other new guest was dark-side chronicler, lyrical genius and masked enigma CASISDEAD, who gave a taste of his unique vocal style in this unusual setting.
All music and vocals were improvised on the day and subsequently edited to create these songs.
Instruments used were both electronic and acoustic.
Previously recorded vocals by Florence Welch, Sampha and Jack Penate were sampled live.

SS24 · Hakama Pants
Hakama trousers rose to prominence in Edo period Japan. They were initially worn by higher classes of society, traditionally over Kimonos. Samurai had worn Hakama for protection, due to the garment allowing the wearer full range of motion and coverage when horseback riding.
For SS24, the Hakama Pant offering features a Veg Dyed Hakama Track Pant with a layered panel design, an integrated belt system and a preformed leg shape for knee articulation. Asym Cargo Hakama Pants are also available, constructed from a midweight h**p/cotton twill with a cargo skirt layer incorporated.

Spring / Summer 2024 · Original Dragon
In celebration of Maharishi’s 30th anniversary, SS24 sees the return of Maharishi’s earliest artwork; the Original Dragon.
Dragons have been viewed through a very different prism in various cultures, with most Eastern cultures viewing them as an auspicious, positive symbol of strength and wisdom whilst conversely being widely perceived in the West as evil, pagan monsters to be feared.
The use of the Dragon is based on the concept that a serpent, the most physically earth bound of creatures with it’s entire body laying on the ground, represents the unenlightened and the Dragon represents man leaving the physical earth, taking flight on a spiritual journey to acquire the pearl of wisdom; engulfed in flames and difficult to grasp.
The iconic Dragon is filled with house pattern DPM: Bonsai Forest. Bringing together two core thematic and aesthetic influences of camouflage's artistic roots within nature as the artwork appears on Western military-inspired garments in various forms and core silhouettes from Maharishi’s collections, such as Original Snopants®, Snoshorts®, and Kimonos.
