HF Holidays Leader Jill shared with us a truly heartwarming story about our 'Come & Craft' holiday at Dovedale back in February.

"Great to be in the company of fellow crafters - we had such fun. Pat’s activity was sorting through decades of photos, and one night, she sat talking to a fellow guest and realised she seemed familiar... It turned out they had known each other in the ‘70s but lost touch. Pat had seen her that day in one of the photos she had been sorting! HF bringing people together across the years..."

Rachel Kepinska-Smith, CRM Marketing Manager, recently stayed at Longmynd House and shared her experience with us: "As the 'chief navigator' in my family, the job always lands on me to plan our trips, map routes, consider mealtimes and have a quick answer to questions like 'Are we nearly there yet?' or 'How much further?'.

So, to my delight, I was relieved of this on my recent trip to Longmynd House, HF Holidays Country House in Church Stretton in the beautiful Shropshire Hills.

My husband and I enjoyed three amazing meals a day and covered over 35,000 steps together exploring Shrewsbury, Stokesay Castle, and Haughmond Hill on our guided walks.

What stood out for me, aside from the stunning scenery and well-thought-out walks, were the conversations I had with fellow guests and our brilliantly friendly and knowledgeable leader, Andy. I learned so much from our chats, and the whole experience inspired us to guide our own children on a countryside walk closer to home the next weekend!

Only by stepping into the shoes of our guests, can we ever communicate the pure joy that shared walking in the great outdoors brings. It's safe to say that we've now caught the walking bug and plan to venture on many more HF Holidays with our family and friends."

We’ve spent over £2 million so far of our full £4 million renovation project on our iconic house in the Shropshire Hills. Returning guests will notice a marked transformation in both the exteriors and interiors with our initial investment. The building's existing detailing has been brought to life through new nature-led twists, designed to bring the outdoors indoors.
