I can't believe it has taken us this long but finally me and my client and infinite inspiration of a business woman Marie-Claire Frederick got to meet in person 🎊

Lockdown has brought us all closer virtually but meeting in person is still such an amazing experience and injection of positivity and energy we all thrive on as human beings!

Marie-Claire runs , which brings female entrepreneurs and business professionals together to share their experiences, mentor and learn from each other.

She's also a super 🌟 as she's helping me find a venue for the Alopecia UK London Support Group meetings which I'll be organising as Leader Volunteer soon!

I had been working as a course administrator for a company and when I had to liaise between the designers and the Web team to get the company's website updated, I suddenly realised I wanted to be the developer on the other side...
I had been doing web development for the past 5 years as a hobby but had no professional experience...

Had another fantastic career day at a different local school today. I hope I've inspired the girls in particular to choose a career in coding! One question threw me by surprise "is it hard to be a mum and a web developer" WOW, this was from a year 4 o 5 kid!!!
I said how it's very possible and that they shouldn't think the opposite, no matter what society around them says!

What a fantastic evening organised by . Back to in person networking with .styles (and many more I didn't write their account down!). So good to be talking to fellow women entrepreneurs again!

Today I spoke at our local school about my career. How you can get to code websites and video games starting from a young age.

💭 How everyone should follow their dream and nothing should stop us!

Started my Monday with fantastic feedback from our client Mayur Gupta at .accelerator - "Thanks again for the super job you did on the CS website - I love it and think it looks great"
I'm particularly happy to be working with Mayur because Career Accelerator is helping diverse young people for careers in the modern economy which I think is definitely needed and also because of his support to the LGBTQ+ community, a value we also share!
