A customer got in contact recently as they were experiencing overheating problems with their processor🥵 When they dropped their PC off, I noticed they had Be Quiet's Dark Rock Pro 4 cooler installed which is one of the better air coolers on the market. Due to this, I suspected either the cooler wasn't mounted correctly, or the processor was faulty ⚠️ When I inspected the cooler, it looked as though it was mounted correctly and was making contact with the processor; so I decided to remove it. When doing so, I found that the customer had forgotten to remove the plastic protective covering from the cooler 😲 As a result, the plastic was acting as a layer between the processor and cooler which was preventing the heat from dissipating and in turn caused the overheating problem. Once the plastic was removed and the cooler was mounted again, the processor was working as it should at its normal temperatures 😁 When fixing the overheating problem, I also moved the graphics card to the main top slot on the motherboard and also removed any built-up dust
