The Wolves are part of Stopsley United FC. We are U13's.
Apologies for the lack of posts. FB banned us from posting due to a trademark infringement but failed to tell us what it was. Hoping we can start the new season with some match reports, photos or videos but that will be in FB’s hands. ⚽️🐺
Please come and support our Wolves in their Plate Final tomorrow in Flitwick. The boys and coaching team would love to see as many people as possible there to support us. Encouragement and support from the sidelines goes a long way. Come on Wolves!!! 💪🏼🐺⚽️
Finally the card is complete. Thank you to everyone who purchased teams. The winner is EVERTON - Annette Aggett. Well done Annette. I will PM you about the £150. 😁
If you’re free on Saturday, please come along and support our adults in their semi-final of the Jubilee Cup.
On Saturday, the Wolfpack played St Josephs away in our semi-final cup game and won 0-9. ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️🐺
A confident start by the Wolves saw us create a few chances which were all saved by the strong St Joe's keeper but he was unfortunate to be beaten at his far post by a low drive from Zion to make it 0-1 to the Stopsley Wolves. The keeper was then subbed due to an injury to his hand. Just 3 minutes later, another powerful drive by Zion from the edge of the area beat the replacement keeper at his near post 0-2. Theo then had an impressive run down the right side and slotted it past the keeper from 10 yards making it 0-3.
A lull in play followed with not many chances created by either side until a frantic goalmouth scramble saw Zion poke the ball home for his hat-trick in just 22 minutes 0-4 which is how it stayed until half time despite some good shots on goal from Josh, Riley C, Alex, Theo and Zion.
Half time sub saw, an injured, Josh given a rest for Mario. Just 4 minutes in Romi picked the ball up 25 yards from goal and smashed it into the top left corner giving the keeper no chance at all, 0-5.
8 minutes in, following some neat build up play down the right, Alex picked the ball and fired the ball over the keepers head from the edge of the area to continue the Wolves dominance, 0-6.
1 minute later saw some great break up play from Riley D and the ball found its way to Theo, on the edge of the box, whose shot fell nicely to Mario who tapped it in from 3 yards out 0-7.
A great run from Riley C saw a shot on goal which fell short and was picked up by Luca who scored our 8th goal from 5 yards out with a cold finish 0-8.
A shot from Alex fell nicely to Mario who squeezed the ball past the keeper to make the final score 0-9 and a comprehensive victory for the Wolves.
Great performances from all of the lads this week and we are super proud of each and every one of them. Special mention to the fantastic defensive display from Vic, James and Riley C who were assisted by Romi, Riley D and, of course, Erin to keep a clean sheet. Superb midfield and attacking play combined with great defensive work saw us win the game and head into the cup final against Bromham United in May.
Players Player: Mario 👏🏼
Managers Player: Riley D 👏🏼
We have a free game week next week and then take on Bedford Bears on the 23rd March in another away game. Come on Wolves, we've got this. ⚽️💪🏼🐺.
Thanks again to our sponsors The Gas Man and All Aspect Fitout, we couldn't do it without you guys. Also thanks to Tesco Express for supplying our fruit for half time.
Sadly, another game postponed due to waterlogged pitches. This weather is really taking its toll on our season. We are rescheduled to play Bromham United on the 13/4 and Bedford Bears on the 23/3. Pitch and weather permitting, we play our semi final cup game against St Josephs on 9/3. 💪🏼🐺⚽️
Sadly, our game against Bromham United was postponed yesterday so we face Bedford Rovers Bears next week, weather permitting.
The Wolfpack played Shefford Saints away this weekend and took home a 5 goal victory.🐺⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️
A mistake by the Shefford keeper in the first minute saw Riley D take full advantage rounding two defenders to slot the ball in from 5 yards, with his left foot, to make it 0-1 to the Wolves.
After the initial fast start the Wolves struggled to capitalise on several opportunities and were frustrated by a staunch Shefford defence. A rare mistake from Riley C then conceded Shefford a penalty at 12 minutes which was tucked away to Erin's right and levelled the score to 1-1.
Wolves then failed to take any of their chances until a great run from Alfie down the left, just before half-time, resulted in the ball ending up in the back of the Shefford net making it 1-2 to the Wolves which stayed that way until the half time whistle blew.
Four changes at the interval saw fresh legs on the pitch and a more positive mentality creating lots of chances for the Wolves which were unfortunate not to have been put away. This was until their mojo returned and Zion hammered home a great strike from 30 yards out followed by another goal just 2 minutes later to give the Wolves a 3 goal advantage.
The morning was rounded off nicely by Players' Player, Theo, who finished after a dazzling run through the defence to slot home to their keepers right making the final score 1-5 to the Wolves and another successful away day.
Players Player: Theo 👏
Managers Player: Alfie 👏
As always, huge thanks to our sponsors All Aspect Fitout and The Gas Man and to a shout out to Tesco Express for providing our fruit, again, this week.
Next week we are back on the road facing Bromham United. Go Wolves 🤛🐺⚽️.
Last Saturday the Wolfpack travelled to Shillington to take on AFC Shillington Jaguars and won 0-8. 🐺⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️.
The pack were wide awake from the off with our first goal firing in the net from Josh, following a mistake by Shillington's defence, after just one minute on the pitch. This was followed, one minute later, by a crisp finish from Luca after some clever work from Alfie down the left hand side leaving the score 0-2 to the Wolves.
Thirty minutes into the game, after some frantic goal mouth action, Romi tapped in a goal from a yard out to make it 0-3 to the Wolves. This was swiftly followed, two minutes later, by a beautiful swivel from Osi in the penalty area.
A nasty tackle on poor Theo landed the Wolves a free kick, which sadly didn't amount to a goal, and two minutes after Osi's goal, Zion chipped the keeper from 18 yards out to take us to 0-5 to the Wolves going in to half time.
After some fruit and water at half time we made some subs and returned to the pitch refreshed and ready for a major uphill slog.
Just four minutes in to the second half a strong run from Zion, into the Shillington box, resulted in a quick near post finish with the outside of his right foot. 0-6 Wolves.
Theo then danced around the Shillington defence and finished strongly with his left foot at the keepers near post taking us to 0-7.
Our final goal, and his hat-trick, came from Zion fifteen minutes from the end when a cross to the back post was fumbled by the keeper. This took us to our final score of 0-8 to The Stopsley Wolves.
A knee injury for Theo saw him subbed off for Alfie as he couldn't walk. No major damage was done though, thankfully.
It was a superb performance by all but we were particularly proud of our defenders and goal keeper, Erin, for some spectacular saves and defencive team work to keep a clean sheet. Even the opposition coach commented on one of Erin's astonishing saves. It was a delight to watch the boys celebrate their saves, as well as their goals, and build on their friendships.
Players Player – Zion 👏🏼
Managers Player - Victor 👏🏼
Thank you again to Tesco's for their kind donations of fruit and sweets and to our kit sponsors All Aspect Fitout and The Gas Man, we couldn't do it without you guys.
We look forward to our match against Shefford on Saturday. Go Wolves!!!
Last Saturday’s travels saw us head up the A6 again for a league fixture against AFC Oakley and a 1-4 win. 🐺⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️.
A slowish start from both sides produced a goalless first ten minutes with not much other than a couple of set pieces which were well defended by both sides but all that changed on 10 minutes when a beautifully delivered corner from the right by Alex was met with a glancing header by Romario which saw the ball loop into the far corner of the Oakley net…0-1 Wolves.
The next ten minutes saw several more chances created by the Wolves which were met well by an astute Oakley keeper but despite his best efforts he was unable to keep out an effort from Alex on 20 minutes which managed to squeeze through under the keepers body to make it 0-2 to the Wolves.
Some fantastic team work from all stopped many attacks from Oakley in midfield and it was great to see Alex and Riley M working hard together covering midfield whilst also attacking.
Our third goal was added shortly before half time after some clever build up play on the edge of the box saw Riley M break through and finish beautifully through the keepers legs from 10 yards out making it 0-3 Wolves going in to half time.
The Wolves made four changes at half time allowing Theo to get his first go at lone striker and he repaid this faith with a deft finish after rounding the keeper 10 minutes into the second half to secure his first goal for the Wolves. 0-4 Wolves.
Oakley came back into the game in the last 20 mins but didn’t give much trouble to the Wolves defenders who had been resolute throughout. Special mentions to our defenders this game as they rarely get a mention...... Osi for a sterling performance that earned him the players player award, Vic, our captain, for his staunch efforts as always, Riley C for his fabulous defending when Erin dived for a save and was too far away to get back when they went for their next another shot, Charlie for his super fast pace and strength and finally James who defended but also moved up to midfield and had a cracking game and was deserving of a goal.
Sadly, a slip and some last minute sloppy defending, from us, allowed Oakley to pick the ball up 30 yards out and finish with a strike over Erin’s head. We can't fault Erin for his steadfast efforts throughout the game though, dependable as ever.
Zak took a nasty tackle, in the last few minutes, with an elbow to the back which knocked him to the ground causing an injury to his face. He was subbed off, and Alfie returned to the pitch, but with only a few minutes left we didn’t manage to create any further goals. Final score 1-4 win to the Wolves.
Overall, a solid performance from the Stopsley Wolves which hopefully will continue into next Saturday’s match against AFC Shillington.
Players Player – Osi 👏🏼
Managers Player - Romario 👏🏼
Today the Wolfpack took on Bedford Rovers Bears away in a clash of the titans cup match and won 1-2 😁🐺⚽️⚽️.
We lost to The Bears last time we played them, in a league match, so this match was a huge deal to us….. we had to prove to ourselves that we could do it!
It was a frantic first 15 minutes as we took a while to wake up and just weren’t co-ordinating properly. Zion’s calming nature was certainly missed on the pitch as he was stuck in traffic. Once he arrived we composed ourselves and started to play together as a team. Romi instinctively repositioned himself to help make our defence stronger and managed to score a belter of a goal after 19 minutes to put us ahead.
The pressure kept up though as Bedford Bears seemed to always be in the right place at the right time to win balls. Our defenders were amazing and kept out multiple shots whilst our goalie Erin had some magnificent saves.
Josh sadly had a goal disallowed as offside which upset the lads a little but we carried on fighting with multiple shots on goal. After a heated moment on the pitch due to conflicting official decisions we managed to keep our lead and make it to half time with scores of 0-1.
After a well deserved short rest, some tasty oranges and melon and a quick motivational speech and huddle the Wolves were ready to continue the battle and were determined to win.
The 2nd half was full on and feisty with some nasty tackles and heated moments from both sides. Both teams wanted this win, and it showed.
After 6 minutes our Zak came up trumps with an absolutely fabulous Zak Attack goal which spurred the team on again.
Some fantastic defensive and attacking work from our midfield meant they were tired but still fighting until the end. We just couldn’t get that ball to Josh for another goal as their defence were all over him.
In the last 5 minutes of the game The Bears scored to make the final score 1-2. I think everyone agreed it was the match we had all been waiting for and were not disappointed with the play.
Bedford Bears are currently top of our league and hadn’t lost a game so far this season. We could all see that they were rattled by our win. What an amazing match it was to watch and Ollie and I were literally shaking for the 5 minutes of added time 😬.
Players player was unanimously Erin “the cat” who saved some immense shots and even stopped one twice after it rebounded. Luca was all over the pitch during this match and really was doing his job superbly to earn managers player. Well deserved boys. We can’t ask for more from these lads at the moment. It feels like they all deserve a trophy every week as they are all giving it their best and are desperate to win the league and/or the cup.
Managers player Luca 👏🏼
Players Player Erin 👏🏼
Enjoy the photos. So many good ones this week it was hard to choose.
Big up to our sponsors The Gas Man and All Aspect Fitout. You guys rock.
Next weekend we take on Oakley away. Come on Wolves, we've got this!!!! 🐺⚽️
A post from one of our two amazing sponsors. Please like, follow and consider them for future business. Thank you.
On Saturday the Wolves played St Josephs away in our first game back since before Christmas. It was a very chilly one but we walked away with another win. 2-9 😁🐺⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️.
It was a slow start to the first half from both sides until Alfie scored a corker first goal after 10 minutes on the pitch. This sparked the rest of the team on and Zion soon followed suit with a superb second goal at 17 minutes. 15 minutes later St Joe's pulled one back leaving the scores at 1-2 going in to half time.
After some fruit and a well deserved rest, subs took place and the teams went back onto the pitch. The 2nd half was crazy, starting with a great goal from Riley D, who dribbled the ball down the right hand side and straight in to the net within seconds of the whistle blowing. This was followed with an awesome goal from Romi, 7 minutes later, that was blasted in from 30 yards out. It was his first game back for the Wolves since breaking his leg in September so we were all chuffed for him. Josh then pelted in his first fantastic goal, of four at 47 minutes swiftly followed 2 minutes later by a goal from St Joe's.
Sadly, Charlie picked up an injury to his foot and had to be subbed off so Riley C came back on for him. Josh didn't leave it long before he scored his second goal at 56 minutes which was a confident strike against their goalie. 3 minutes later a battle commenced which had Luca fighting for possession of the ball. Finally, he came out victorious to score a wonderful goal. 64 minutes in and Alex provided a magnificent back pass assist to Josh to score his 3rd which was swiftly followed by his 4th, and our final, goal which came from a rebound off the goalie after a shot from Zion. With a final score if 2-9 we were all over the moon
We continue to improve every week and the comradery they are building is a pleasure to watch. Always more to work on in training but we are so proud of every member of the team. Their efforts this week were selfless and they are now all working as one to get the ball in the net. We can ask no more.
Managers player Alex 👏🏼
Players Player Josh👏🏼
Huge thanks to Tesco Express North Approach Watford who are sponsoring our fruit and sweets going forward. We really appreciate your kind donations to the team.
Big up to our kit sponsors All Aspect Fitout and The Gas Man. We couldn't do it without you. Massive thanks as always.
Tomorrow, all being well with the pitch, we take on Bedford Bears away in a cup game. Come on Wolves, we've got this!!!! 🐺⚽️
Only 4 teams left. £10 to win £150. 😁 Contact me to buy a team. Amanda
The Stopsley Wolves are looking for kit sponsors for 24/25 and 25/26 seasons. Our kits last for two seasons so your logo would be on our shirts, promoting your business locally throughout that time. Stopsley United also add your company link and logo on our website and we will tag you and promote your business on our page.
A rough estimate for kits is approx £700-800 for home kits and £400-500 for away kits. You can either sponsor one or both, it's up to you. It is a one off cost for the two season sponsorship and a way to join and support the Stopsley United family.
If you or someone you know may be interested please let me know. It's a fabulous way to boost your business whilst supporting a local team and club. We do our best to keep our players happy and healthy whilst building strong friendships along the way. Come and join the Wolfpack!!!!
We'd be grateful if you could share this post too to help spread the word. Thank you, Amanda
Our first game of 2024, last weekend, was sadly postponed due to waterlogged pitches. Given the commitment and effort the lads put in at training last week, during torrential rain, we are pretty sure they would have been well up for a game even if they were ankle deep in water😂. Fingers crossed for this weekend when the Wolves take on St Josephs away. Watch this space......... Go Wolves
Wishing everyone connected to the club a very Happy New Year! Here's to a fantastic footballing 2024... full of teamwork, goals and victories! ⚽🏆🎆🎉
Merry Christmas everyone. We can't wait to get back to matches in the New Year. Please feel free to like/follow our page and share the Wolves' holiday cheer with the world!! 🎄❄️☃️🥳🍾🦌🎅🤶🎁

We’ve had no games for a few weeks, due to postponements, and are now match free until the new year. Wishing you all a very happy holidays and we look forward to playing again in January. Thank you all for your support. If anyone knows of anyone who would like to sponsor the Wolves’ kits for 24/25 season please get in touch asap as we will be looking to order new kits in the spring. 🎄❄️☃️🍾🥳🐺
Our game against St Joe’s last weekend was cancelled due to the pitch being frozen 😢. We currently don’t have any games until the first week of January. Training continues as usual this week and next and then we can all relax until the New Year. 🎄☃️❄️🐺
Today the Wolfpack took on Westoning at home and won 6-3 😁🐺⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️.
It was a heated game with a good start from Westoning who created a chance in the first minute. Wolves stepped up with Josh scoring his first goal after just 3 minutes.
10 minutes in, a tackle against Theo awarded the Wolves a penalty which Zion took and scored. Followed closely by Westoning’s first goal.
Josh scored a couple of cracking goals for his hat-trick at 22 and 34 minutes leaving us a comfortable 4-1 up at half time.
After some fruit and a short rest, the 2nd half was full on and furiously feisty with some nasty tackles and heated moments, injuring poor Zak and Alex.
Westoning scored their second goal after 43 minutes followed by an own goal at 55 minutes, bringing the scores to 5-2.
Some fantastic saves from Erin “the cat”, lots of confident passes and so many shots on both goals, that I lost count, made for some exciting play and some extremely passionate challenges. A confident goal from Mario at 61 minutes and another goal from Westoning in the 68th minute made the final score 6-3 at full time.
We are really gelling as a team now and improving every week. Still plenty to work on in training but we are proud of the team and the comradery they are building.
Thanks to Romi and Finn for their photography efforts this week.

Next weekend we take on St Joseph’s away. Come on Wolves, we've got this!!!! 🐺⚽️
On a positive note, our training session this week was one of the best we have ever had. The team are really playing well together now. Their communication has come on so much since the summer and, as coaches, we are loving how each member of the team has a voice and is prepared to be our eyes on the pitch. We are so pleased with how things are going. Keep it up guys. Go Wolves 🐺⚽️.
Last Saturday our match against Bedford Bears was sadly postponed due to a water logged pitch. We move on to this week with our home game against Westoning. Fingers crossed the pitches are good. 🐺⚽️
Back to winning on Saturday 11th November😁. The Wolves played AFC Oakley and won 5-0 😁🐺⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️.
We held an impeccable 2 minute silence at 11am for Remembrance weekend which meant we didn't kick off until 11:05am.
It was an action packed game with plenty of great play, fantastic saves, confident passes and many shots on goal. See my amazing sports photography 🤣 for some of the action.
A nasty tackle on Riley D within 5 minutes of play saw Zion stepping up to score a penalty at a very apt 11:11am. His second followed shortly after which put us at 2-0 by half time.
After an orange and melon refuel, the 2nd half was fast and furious with Zion scoring a hat-trick after 10 minutes. 2 minutes later, Zak belted one in to the Oakley goal followed by another 5 minutes later. Some great saves from Erin and awesome team work between midfield and defence meant we kept a clean sheet and are back to our winning ways with a final score of 5-0 to the Stopsley Wolves. We are really playing well as a team now. Still plenty to work on in training but us coaches are super proud of our Wolves. They seem extremely hungry for goals with Zion currently topping the division leaderboard and going for the club record.
Managers player Zion 👏🏼
Players Player Zak 👏🏼
This weekend we take on Bedford Rovers Bears, who narrowly beat us last match. Huge game for us as we really need to win this one to pull it back and lift that trophy. We have a full team attending (minus our Romi who's still out with a broken leg), including Theo who will be playing his first game for us.
Come on Wolves, we've got this!!!! 🐺⚽️
