The other day, I was rushing to the mall to buy something and also catch up with school runs but I couldn’t just walk pass when my attention caught a slim and beautiful pregnant Oyibo lady walking beside her with a beautiful not more than three years old girl, both wearing the same style of dress

Now, here is the main gist. An older man walked passed them with a broad smile, admiring them, told her that they are both beautiful.He played with the small girl and said to her that she will soon be a big sister. Both mother and daughter smiled, I even smiled while walking behind them, then he asked her how far is she gone with the pregnancy and she replied him 8 months and that she’s likely to give birth by first week of next month. Hmmmmmmm na stranger asked am that question oh! She no know the man oh! Even me wey dey their back was shocked 😳.

Imagine a stranger asking a pregnant lady how far she’s gone with her pregnancy in Nigeria. Like, even if you don’t mean any harm, fear go gree you ask a pregnant lady that kind of question if no be your family member?

You see, there are people who packed their luggage and travelled out of this country, Nigeria to the United Kingdom or the United States of America. But on the first day of their arrival in the UK or the US, everything inside them said, “You are in the wrong place. You have made a wrong move. You are in a wrong location,” and immediately their peace was lost. Their joy was lost. Everything around them looks as dry as the Sahara Desert. But they would not make a U-turn to come back home because of what people would say. They say to themselves, “What will people say if I go back home? Will people not say that I am confused? Is it not the same America that other people are succeeding? I will remain here.”

This is a proof of bankruptcy of meekness! They would prefer to die with the wrong step than make a U-turn. Beloved, determine never to live your life like that. Always be ready to make a U-turn whenever you realize you are on a wrong path. A meek person is someone who is not ashamed to turn back when he realises that he has made a wrong move. What decision do you need to make but you are afraid of what people would say??
