We are The Maidstone Art centre

We don’t have any employees we have volunteers who work for free

We don’t have a fancy schmancy grant bidding department who are paid to apply for funding ,

We don’t have swanky offices, or expense accounts

We don’t have a cash flow, or a big fat bank balance

And we are constantly turned down for funding because of it !

BUT…. What we do have is PASSION and a determination to keep going even though every month is a struggle to survive .

We also have YOU, our wonderful community who support us, attend, get involved and remind us every day just how valuable the opportunity to be creative, in a welcoming environment that charges peanuts for you to come and make use of all the wonderful materials and equipment we have available.

So if you do anything this year
Come and join us, find your most creative self, explore just what you can do, make something, paint something and stick two fingers up to anyone or any government who doesn’t give a jot about community, doesn’t support community initiatives, doesn’t nurture all the creatives out there who don’t have fat pockets

Join a class, come to a workshop, come and have a cuppa
Never give up
