5 practical social media tips!
Knowing what to post and what content to create isn’t all you need to think about when you’re using social media to market your business. So here’s 5 tips, save them and come back to them later.
1. Each time you create content to post on social media, always think… is this useful, how does this helps me reach my goals?
2. Remember! Followers aren’t numbers, they are people. Treat everyone like a person so they feel important and appreciated.
3. If you’re struggling with how much promotional content to post, you could use the general 80/20 rule, it’s not an exact science but will help guide you when putting together your social media posts.
4. Check your analytics and insights regularly to see when your audience is most active or likely to engage, this will be different for every brand! Your insights will determine when you could post to help your content be seen by more of the right people.
5. Create a social media content plan! This is so important because it will help you plan what you are going to post on social media and when, meaning you aren’t wasting time each day wondering what to post.
🖊 These tips are taken from my little book of Social Media Ideas which I created to help give you a little nudge, open it on any page and get a new idea or tip or be inspired. Available:
Don’t forget to save this post to read later. And follow for more marketing tips and ideas.
I love that people find the social media planner helpful!
I created the social media planner to help keep me on track and knew it could help others too! It worked out 😊
We’ve sold over 2500 copies in the past couple of years with this years being the best yet!
But when people share kind words it always feels amazing. So amazing that I just wanted to share with you too. 📖 🖊
What is a digital native?
It’s someone who’s been immersed in digital and technology from a young age.
The term is often used to describe the digital generation gap in terms of the ability of technological use among people born after 1980 and those born before.
However I think that term is a bit odd and anyone can be a digital naitive, it’s all about mindset and tapping into the tech that’s available to you that will help you do your job better, quicker, more efficiently without making yourself redundant.
And so next month I’m talking about how you can upskill to be a digital native, looking at the tools and tech you can use to make work and business easier!
Not only that but showing you how mindset is important too, I’m fed up of hearing from people: ‘I’m too old for that’ or ‘I’ll leave that to the kids’ or my 15 year old nephew can do that’ ‘I didn’t grow up with computers’ - stop making excuses…. young people have to learn new tech too! It’s 100% a mindset thing!!
So join me next month at the Digital Women digital skills festival where I’ll show you how to embrace change and new technology.
This session is free to attend and opens day 2 of our skill sharing event.
We are inclusive and anyone interested is welcome to attend.
