Our cute little regular, Gracie! We looked after Gracie last weekend. Always a delight to look after 🩷

Our new fur-client, Vinnie. We looked after Vinnie for a week and he is the most sweetest little boy bless him. Such a cute little man 💙

Our new fur-clients. Belle & Nova. They were an absolute pleasure to look after. Such cute little girls these are. Very playful too! We got into a real routine with them and they even waited by the stairs ready for us to play with the soft ping pong balls. So cute! 💕

Our cute little regulars Harley & Fifi. We looked after the girls for a week. They were so good bless them. Full of character and equally as sassy! 💕

Our little regulars. Lolly & Ted. Ted (white cat) is so affectionate bless him. Lolly is a bit more reserved love her. She gives such good evils 😹 we look forward to looking after them both very soon 💕

We had the pleasure of looking after Daisy & Lucy again. This time for a week as our last visit was only a weekend. They are such gorgeous girls 💕

Just a short visit to Mr Lula but he was so pleased to see us! Of course, we were also very pleased to see him! He’s such a good boy 💙

Say hello to our new fur-clients, Daisy & Lucy! We had the pleasure of looking after these two gorgeous girls over the weekend and we get to see them again soon in a couple of weeks! Daisy had the major zoomies when she’d just eaten breakfast and Lucy loved a fuss, so much so that if you paused for a slight moment, (even to take a photo!) she would paw you! 💕

We had the pleasure of looking after our regular, Gracie. She’s such a beautiful little girl. Follows us around and loves to play with her slinky’s with us! 💜

This is the beautiful Mr Lula! Our new fur client! He was a joy and such a good boy. He even sits when you tell him to before you give him his food! Bless him. It was an absolute pleasure looking after him 💙

Monday Issues

🎄Christmas Shoeboxes 🎄

A few people expressed interest in filling shoeboxes for the dogs & cats supported by the foodbank. Having spoken to the kennels for ideas, i have compiled a list of suggestions;

Dog 🐕
* training treats
* longer lasting treats - eg dentastix or jumbone
* new toy - durable type if possible
* christmas treats - we have all seen these 🤣

Cat 🐈
* treats
* new toy - eg jingly ball, mouse etc
* collar
* christmas treats

Each shoebox will also have a blanket, i have these already to hand 💖 this list is purely suggestion & treats etc do not have to be branded! Supermarket own is more than welcome.
The only things we cannot accept for shoe boxes are anything containing rawhide & anything with bone - unfortunately kennels cannot leave dogs with bones & at present very few of my foodbank clients have dogs that eat bones.

Shoeboxes can be wrapped in paper - the dogs LOVE shredding the paper & opening their own presents 🥰 i am more than happy to wrap any boxes. I also have a stash of shoeboxes thanks to donations from locals

Lest We Forget

***REMEMBERING THE CATS***
Thousands of cats were dispatched to the trenches during WW1 to keep rodent numbers down and act as early warning detectors for mustard gas. So many gave great comfort to the troops as companions and mascots. How many cats survived we will never know?
Paws At The Ready -

The cats of World War One had significant role in all the campaigns, we must honour their bravery too.
Give thought to all the kitties
who served in World War One.
A battalion of the finest
who never fired a gun.

What was their role?

Whether hunting rodents out at sea,
or loyal friends to men,
these many cats had vital roles,
time and time again.
The food was saved.

A common sight in trenches deep,
dispatching mice and rats,
the soldiers’ had a special bond
with many of these cats.
Many were treasured mascots.

Five hundred thousand cats were sent
to serve in the Great War.
Some detected mustard gas,
whilst others were off shore.

Some of the feline heroes -

Togo was the Dreadnought’s cat,
The Swan had their lad Ching.
Pincher was the Vinex’s mog,
it was luck they hoped they’d bring.
‘Martinpuich’ was aptly named,
by The 9th battalion chaps.
Pitouchi was the orphaned kit,
who’d survived on army scraps.

Spark Plug, Tabby and many more
were companions to the troops.
The feline unsung heroes,
those cats who became recruits.

We’ll never truly realise
just what these cats went through.
So spare a thought and give some thanks
for what they did for you!

Always a pleasure looking after our little regular Matsi. He wasn’t very sociable this weekend, however. He was very chilled and cosy on the bed 💙💙

The lovely Zeus and Eros! These are such lovely boys! Loved looking after them again 💙💙

Absolute pleasure looking after these two again! Cookie & Gracie have grown so much already bless them. 💜💜
