💗❤️ VALENTINES/ FRIENDSHIP DAY ❤️💗
Lots of activities were enjoyed today!
From having snack together, to making cakes and decorating biscuits for our party and to take home to our lovely families ❤️
We celebrated being friends whilst also learning about sharing, caring and being loved 🥰
Lots of love and happiness all round 💗

🥞 PANCAKE DAY 🥞
what better way to spend the day then a pancake making station to create our own delicious treats with playdough!
The children also got involved with making the pancake batter using the tipping and pouring skills they have! We then went into the kitchen where the children watched me make them! They all sat down and enjoyed sharing them 🥞❤️

🧧🐉 CHINESE NEW YEAR 🐉🧧
Celebrating Chinese new year has been lots of fun here at Rainbow Days 🌈
The children loved playing in the role play Chinese restaurant, dressing up, making food and sharing with their friends!
Their has been lots of counting, tipping, pouring, filling and looking at Chinese symbols 🐉🧧

☃️❄️WINTER

We’ve had a very busy January getting back into routine after a lovely Christmas break.
The children have enjoyed learning about winter and were all extremely happy when it snowed!
They’ve had lots of fun exploring, using their senses and imaginations whilst also enjoying hot chocolate at snack time to keep them warm!
We’ve been on lots of adventures and found a new story time which is amazing 📚

🎄🎅🏼 myself and the children had lots of fun on the run up to Christmas sharing lots of experiences with our friends at Little lady bugs childminding.
From making gingerbread playdoh, visiting the Christmas markets and the Christmas shop to having Christmas dinner, meeting Father Christmas and also being very creative and exploring all our senses 🎄🤶🏼
It’s been very magical and adventurous 🎄

Children in need 🧸
we’ve been busy colouring pudsey bear, creating pudsey using a gingerbread man, icing sugar and mini smarties 🧸
We’ve also been focusing on the colour yellow 💛

💥🌈DIWALI🌈💥
The children have had lots of fun learning about Diwali 🪔
They’ve beven busy colouring rangoli patterns using lots of different colours. we went to the supermarket and bought some Diya lamps for the children to explore 🪔 then some of the children enjoyed using the light box and putting various objects on top to explore the colours 🪔

🥀LEST WE FORGET 🥀
The children have really enjoyed being creative whilst learning an important piece of history and about paying respects 🥀 they’ve squashed, squeezed, manipulated and learnt to use shape cutters whilst playing with the homemade red playdoh with chia seeds to replicate their own poppies.
Some of the children also made poppies using paint 🎨 we then took a bus trip into Manchester to place our poppy wreath at the cenotaph with our friends from Little lady bugs childminding🥀

We’ve loved being outdoors and collecting natural objects to bring into the setting to play with and explore 🍂
We’ve enjoyed all areas of being creative and sharing ideas with our peers 🍂

Starting back after summer ready for a new term 🌈
We’ve welcomed a new little friend to our fun days ❤️
We’ve been learning about ourselves, our families and our emotions.
The children loved looking in the mirror and painting themselves 🎨

☀️🌈 some snippets of our SUMMER theme 🌈☀️The children have all had lots of fun exploring, being creative, learning and most importantly enjoying themselves! From learning about rock pools to trying to make sandcastles, they’ve all tried and some even exploring new experiences 😊

The children absolutely love their little adventures into town on the train to visit the library 📚 always laughing, sharing thoughts and engaging in storytelling 🌈

We’re going on a bear hunt 🐻
We’ve had lots of fun reading this book!
The children have had lots of visuals and sensory experiences, it’s safe to say the favourite was mud (angel delight), thick oozy mud 🐻🐻

🇬🇧👑 KINGS CORONATION 👑🇬🇧
What a week the children had celebrating a big part of history!
They had so much fun decorating crowns, making castles, exploring colours and using their imaginations.
To top a great week off we celebrated with friends and had an amazing tea party!

💐 HAPPY MOTHERS DAY 💐
This week has been very busy, the little ones have painted their own hands to enable them to make their own interpretation of a flower for their mummy’s cards 💞
They’ve also been learning to scoop and fill their plant pots and putting plants into them. We discussed that plants and flowers need sunshine and water to grow 🌱, which then led us into the garden to find a watering can to water the plants they had made as special gifts for their mummy’s 💐

🌈 Half term holidays 🌈
🥞pancake day 🥞
We had lots of fun this week, we’ve been to a play center and had a little visit to the park.
The children have been learning about self help and how to chop up their banana! I chose bananas to start of with as these are soft and easy for the children to cut 🍌
on pancake day the children explored the tuff tray which had homemade pancakes for them to play with and then for snack they had a taste of some more fresh homemade pancakes with banana and cream 🥞
