When I found first information about new trend in travel - “sleep tourism” - I could imagined soft pillow under my head, big, perfectly comfortable bed, relaxing music in beckground, subtle, gentle scent of natural candle. I was ready to go there immidiately. But I couldn’t imagine what else I could add to this. Is it really more, what can be offer to people who struggle to find the way and time to finally reset their mind, and improve their sleep?

Well….. imagine retreat, where you can focus on your sleep. From basic add-ons, like pillows menus, sleepy teas, and bath salts, to more comprehensive series of days programmes guided by specialists where they goals are your well-being and your sleep improvement.

Hotels with dedicated sleep programmes let guests concentrate on getting better sleep and improving their sleep health, away from everyday distractions, often for a few days or weeks. Programmes that include a diagnostic part tries to find out why a guest is having trouble sleeping, looking into things like obstacles to sleep and how deep your sleep is. They can also recommend treatments and therapies to help to fix these issues. Stress, anxiety, insomnia, and other sleep problems like snoring are just a few examples of possible causes.

To achieve their goals retreats may offer a variety of services including low-intensity activities, like yoga and walking, as well as meditation, reflexology and massage. You can find some hotels have bedside tables with sleep trackers to enable guests to measure their breathing and movements during the different sleep stages.

Sleep is the body’s main restorative process, meaning getting enough of it is vital to our basic functioning.

🌸 3.5 years ago, I “hit the wall.” I was made redundant from my job, failed my second year of university, and my daughter’s medical condition spiraled out of control. Stress, frustration, overwhelm, and fear of the future weighed me down. I was desperately seeking help. One day, while visiting a friend, she told me that she meditated every day.

Of course, I had heard about meditation many times but had never considered trying it. Now I know there are no coincidences. I wanted to try but didn’t know how. She told me about guided meditations and recommended finding something I liked on YouTube.

After these years, meditation has become a part of my life. This practice helps me calm down my mind, lower my stress and overwhelmed, and pause my life for a few minutes.
