Artzu Gallery
Art should be exciting, stimulating, controversial. Beautiful, challenging... sublime. Artzu was founded in Manchester by Nick Betney in 1998.
We proudly stand like a beacon for artists, art lovers and passionate art collectors. Firmly established as the most progressive, independent, contemporary art gallery in the North for over two decades.

Bunk’ Art!
Exploring the bowels of a former Albanian Cold War bunker.
"Art history gives me something to make art about."
Referencing McDonald’s "cultural takeover of the world", Axel Bottenberg's gaudy interpretation of Da Vinci's 'Vitruvian Man' is an example of his clever use of contrasting images and ideas to provoke shock factor. Although a humorous take on Da Vinci's original masterpiece, 'Ronald Man' still acknowledges its art historical significance, and reflects Bottenberg's own deep interest in art history as a subject.
