The Didsbury Players are a friendly amateur dramatic society based in Didsbury, South Manchester. Fancy treading the boards?
We meet every Monday night from 8pm till 10pm at The Parrs Wood Pub on Parrs Wood Road. We always welcome new members for both back stage and performing roles! We put on 3 performances a year ranging from musicals to small, intense dramas. So if you think you might have the drama bug, or are interested in catching it, please drop us a line or come along to one of our Monday meetings.
Introducing Meghan Powell as Casca!
Casca is a public figure who is opposed to Caesar's rise to power. He believes that Caesar is an actor, lulling the populace into believing that he has no personal ambition.

Introducing Liam Mulvey as Brutus!
In our upcoming production of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar Liam plays Brutus. A character torn between his loyalty to Caesar and his allegiance to the state. He loves Caesar as a friend but he fears that Caesar's power will lead to a dictatorship.

Welcome Didsbury Players and those who are interested in joining! We are now holding auditions for our next show...
William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar!
Rehearsals for the show will be on Mondays at the Parrswood Inn in Didsbury - 8pm - 10pm and generally on Sundays at the Scout Hut in Didsbury 6pm - 8pm.
Key dates for the show:
Tech rehearsal: 21st September 2024
Dress rehearsal: 28th September 2024
Performance dates 4th and 5th October 2024, evening performances.
Also you are not required to pay membership fees to audition, membership fees will be paid after cast and crew is announced.
Summary of membership fees: Β£30 yearly fee , with Β£10 top up for cast, director or producer.
