Last week, as a branch, we delivered 5140 hours of care and support in the community in a single week across Greater Manchester.

A 5000 hour has been a long standing target for us but has so far proved elusive, so to actually achieve it is a big thing.

(Don't hold me to this but I don't think this milestone has been achieved by a branch in a single week in the company's 60 year history. And if it has it's not by much).

Big shout out to my team (again!), who's loyalty and commitment and work ethic and unbelievably thick skin (which you need to do what we do), is what allows us to continue to deliver an exceptional service - enjoy your big bonuses guys!

Another shout out goes to our customers (there's too many to mention individually), who keep putting their faith in us to deliver positive outcomes for everyone we support on a day to day basis, which is what we're always striving for.

Thanks to Head Office for the back office support we get from them, and for the hamper we received today to recognise our achievement.

And last but not least, to all our 200+ support staff, out in the community, facing impossible situations on an almost daily basis, but who continue to surprise me with their empathy and resilience.

I'm grateful for you all!

Less than two weeks now until I compete at The Roc England in aid of Headway Salford & Trafford

Since I started training for the event, I have so far completed:
23 Bike Rides totalling 400 miles, with 19,000ft of elevation over 30 hours
37 Runs totalling 205 miles, with 16,500ft of elevation over 35 hours
31 Gym Sessions over 22 hours
7 Swims totalling 7.5 miles over 3.5 hours (probably shold have swam more! 😂 )

That's:
98 Training Sessions
90.5 Hours
612 Miles
35,500ft of Elevation

Just a few more to do this week, then it's in the hands of the triathlon gods!

Prestige Nursing & Care Manchester branch are currently recruiting Support Workers to work with adults and children with brain and / or spinal injuries, throughout Greater Manchester
We have been operating for 12 years and we look after a variety of clients in their own homes and in the community, including children, young adults and the elderly and we specialise in Brain Injury, Spinal Injury, Challenging Behaviours and Complex Needs.
We are the number one provider Case Management and Solicitors Firms who have clients who need care following catastrophic injury.
They come us to form the support arm of the Multi-Disciplinary Team where we work closely with Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and Speech and Language Therapists with the aim of achieving the best outcomes for the clients we support.
We are often involved with the same clients for a number of years so you get to see your clients develop and see the benefits of the important work you do.

You will be working at the forefront of our services, visiting Professional members / patients in Clients own homes, or in schools, to Complete Risk assessments, observe competencies for professional members enabling them to deliver patient centred care identified within Risk assessment and support plans from external professionals.

Our major focus is on clinical excellence and first-class care. Your role is to support our non-qualified professional members providing them with knowledge and skills enabling them to deliver high quality 1-2-1 care for our clients. Here at North Manchester for the past 13yrs we have specialised in supporting clients in Acquired Brain Injury’s and Spinal Injury’s as well as children with Cerebral Palsy and congenital conditions.

ABOUT YOU
You will be an experienced Registered General Nurse (RGN) / Registered Nurse (Child) with a valid NMC PIN who displays a high level of care and empathy that will help our patients regain their independence and staff to have the knowledge to safely care for our clients. You will be well-organised and comfortable managing your own workload around the needs of the business. Intermediate IT skills are also required. In addition, you’ll be required to travel between Office and clients’ homes on a daily / weekly basis, so a full UK driving licence is essential.
